counsellingresource.com/quizzes/adhd-testing/adhd/

I've done this quiz which is meant to provide an estimate of whether you might have ADHD. It shouldn't be used for diagnosis, there are lot of caveats for it.

But I am thinking "but surely everyone does that" about a lot of the questions. I'd be really interested to get a range of answers from a range of people, if anyone is willing to share.

For what it's worth, I've done it twice on different days, scored 76 and 62. Their threshold for "possible ADHD" is 70+. I don't really believe anyone can score less than 50 and I'd be fascinated to know if I'm wrong.

Score of 79, ADHD a possibility.

Many of those of you with a score

Indoctro · 27/09/2021 22:41

Scored 40 and I recently have had a diagnosis of ADHD on the NHS

So quiz it's by accurate for me.

I scored 87. I suspect I have ADHD but am not pursuing a diagnoses as it seems such a difficult process. I'm working on finding coping strategies to help.

  1. My kids think I have adhd!
holidaynearlyover · 27/09/2021 22:43

112- haven't been diagnosed but think I have it and think my daughter does too. Currently seeking a diagnosis

mrselizabethdarcy · 27/09/2021 22:43

NinetyNineRedBalloonsGoBy · 27/09/2021 22:43

I scored 8

pasturesgreen · 27/09/2021 22:44

I got 14.

Dinkydody · 27/09/2021 22:44

I scored 88 but have lived with anxiety for more than 30 years. ADHD and ASD do run in family though.

Passmeamenuatthetottenham · 27/09/2021 22:44

I got 60

36degrees · 27/09/2021 22:44

76 but I have cPTSD, which can present like ADHD.

TheRealMrsJelly · 27/09/2021 22:45

I scored 98. My (adult) son has ADHD and he did say that he thinks I might have it too. Maybe he has something there.

MountainAshley · 27/09/2021 22:45

77.. I have not been diagnosed with ADHD, but my adult daughter has recently been diagnosed.

I was asked many questions during her diagnosis and she told me I may not have recognised some of the things I was asked about as being unusual, because it is possible I have ADHD too, so all these things seemed normal to me. I wonder.

INeedNewShoes · 27/09/2021 22:45

Pretty convinced I have ADHD but I don't know if I'll ever manage to navigate access to the proper assessment/diagnosis process.

Realising I probably have ADHD and reaching acceptance of the challenges that brings and trying to manage them has already had a bit of a positive impact. I hate myself less nowadays anyway!

Constellationstation · 27/09/2021 22:45

I got 11 and I thought I possibly had ADHD.

Blueuggboots · 27/09/2021 22:46

46, not got ADHD.

desperate4spring · 27/09/2021 22:47

I got 86. I've suspected for a while that I have ADHD. Just need to organise myself to do something about it...

Rantyrantason · 27/09/2021 22:48
  1. I do have depression and anxiety though. But have wondered whether I might be on the spectrum.
JeffVaderneedsatray · 27/09/2021 22:49

I scored 78. I don't have a dx of ADHD or ADD.
However - my dad (at 81) is on the way to a diagnosis of ASD. My son has a dx of ASD and my daughter has a dx of ASD and ADD.

I spend most of my life failing to function. I can hold down a job OR I can 'keep house' - I cannot do both.

I score highly on ASD quizes too.

I am not NT but what sort of not NT I am I don't know and I doubt I'd get a dx because it was hard enough to get our GP to take my daughter's needs seriously.

Eliska11 · 27/09/2021 22:49

I scored 70.
Diagnosed with and medicated for ADHD-I.
In awe of those who got really low scores lol!

Rooksink · 27/09/2021 22:49

71 but feel I'm too old & my GP too uninterested to look into a diagnosis. I've been on anti-depressants for 21 years because GP says "you're an intelligent woman; you know what you need". I am but I don't.

santabetterwashhishands · 27/09/2021 22:49

80 but I have lots of adhd traits so I'm not surprised

notHarris · 27/09/2021 22:50

83 for me.
Prompted by my counsellor I accepted a while ago that I have features of ADD, ASC..... I'm a pain in the arse sometimes because of it but generally life ticks along ok so have never considered a formal diagnosis route.

Interesting quiz but surely confirmation bias comes into play here too?

RampantIvy · 27/09/2021 22:51

*Many of those of you with a score

AlexaShutUp · 27/09/2021 22:52

I scored 98. I'm pretty sure that I have undiagnosed adhd. Unfortunately, pursuing a diagnosis would require a level of executive function that would be challenging for me. I have a very demanding job and struggle to stay on top of things there. I just don't have the capacity to manage anything else ebbed though it would probably help me in the longer term. It's easier to keep putting it off...story of my life.
