Would you do this ADHD diagnostic quiz and share your answer?

counsellingresource.com/quizzes/adhd-testing/adhd/

I've done this quiz which is meant to provide an estimate of whether you might have ADHD. It shouldn't be used for diagnosis, there are lot of caveats for it.

But I am thinking "but surely everyone does that" about a lot of the questions. I'd be really interested to get a range of answers from a range of people, if anyone is willing to share.

For what it's worth, I've done it twice on different days, scored 76 and 62. Their threshold for "possible ADHD" is 70+. I don't really believe anyone can score less than 50 and I'd be fascinated to know if I'm wrong.

66 and also being assessed for ADHD

shangelawasrobbed · 27/09/2021 21:59

63, never considered myself to have any ADHD traits so surprised to have scored that high.

PullTheWeeds · 27/09/2021 22:00

I scored 10.

I think that's to do with my age, I would have answered a lot of those questions differently when I was younger and at uni and (with hindsight) probably depressed and definitely anxious.

RLOU30 · 27/09/2021 22:00

:( I’ve done this and got 110 I am currently getting diagnosed because I’ve realised I can’t carry on any more I am desperate

Oceanrudeness · 27/09/2021 22:00

110!!

BlueistheNewme · 27/09/2021 22:01

I scored 87, and don’t have a diagnosis. One of the psychiatrists at work thought I had ADHD. I’m disorganised to the point of being distressed by it.

Oceanrudeness · 27/09/2021 22:02

@RLOU30 hi, we have the same score! How do you go about getting a diagnosis? My life is a nightmare atm

traumatisednoodle · 27/09/2021 22:03

I scored 22, I am quite organised and very self disciplined.

MrsGhastlyCrumb · 27/09/2021 22:03
  1. Like others, waiting for assessment for ADD/ASD. One child with strongly suspected ASD, the other ADHD. These sorts of tests are going to be quite subjective though, aren't they?
EmilyDickinson · 27/09/2021 22:05
  1. I answered “not at all” to several questions
Erictheavocado · 27/09/2021 22:06
  1. Not really a surprise - I would have been more surprised if I had scored high enough to make adhd a possibility for me.
WeatherwaxOn · 27/09/2021 22:06

65
I wonder if I may be dyspraxic but last time I did a quiz to assess that I didn't score highly enough to be considered so.

  1. I am awaiting an Autism assessment. I wonder if it covers ADHD too, although I appreciate there is a lot of crossover.
BedknobsNoBroomsticks · 27/09/2021 22:08
  1. I often wonder if I am on the spectrum. I also wonder if some of my close family members are also.

Not sure if it is worth looking at getting a diagnosis.

Concestor · 27/09/2021 22:08

I got 35. I'm autistic.

Peanutsandchilli · 27/09/2021 22:09
  1. My short fuse is always down to my husband and kids (like my 2 year old who is currently smacking me and demanding milk, instead of sleeping), rather than ADHD.
Elieza · 27/09/2021 22:10
  1. Not autistic as far as I know. Just weird.
Gingerkittykat · 27/09/2021 22:11

Your answers indicate levels of experiences which are consistent with the inattentive component of ADHD symptoms. However, in the absence of higher levels of experiences typically associated with hyperactivity-impulsivity, a diagnosis of ADHD is normally not appropriate.

I scored 28.

I am autistic and currently waiting for a formal assessment for ADHD. I have never been hyperactive but am impulsive and very disorganised.

It doesn't take into account comorbidities like autism; trouble turn taking in conversation is an autism trait that I struggle with. I am either really quiet because I don't know when to speak or jump in and talk over people.

cozycat1 · 27/09/2021 22:11

19 for me. Then I answered it as if I was my son and it scored 91. He has inattentive ADHD,diagnosed, takes medication for it.

LucyGrey · 27/09/2021 22:11

I got 40 and I have ADHD combined type.

stairgates · 27/09/2021 22:12

16 but I think a younger me would have been higher, had to train my brain to calm with the more kids I had.

DivingBoardInGuernsey · 27/09/2021 22:14
  1. And most of those points were for menopausal bad temper tbh. No ADHD suspected IRL or via this quiz.
cuppaTandchill · 27/09/2021 22:15

100 and have always suspected I have adhd as well as asd and I'm awaiting assessments

artquejtion · 27/09/2021 22:15

25 for me.
