Don't have an interest particularly in tennis but very proud of a fellow woman, fellow person from Bromley and someone who braved it through such spotlight type stresses -
Brilliant win Emma 🥳🥂

I don't even like tennis, it was on because DP does, and I ended up enthralled and cheering 😂😂. Well done Emma!

Fantastic wasn't she! They look so young together on the podium that it looks like some kind of secondary school tournament Grin

They were both so graceful. I stopped watching tennis when the women started grunting like the men.

Well done her. Clap clap. They were both great. Two young women who can promote tennis and did a great job.

What the actual…?
I think you’ll find that they were grunting like women exerting themselves at a professional sports level 🙄

I'm not really a tennis fan but I did enjoy it and was so pleased for her when she won. They're both so young, it's incredible to be able to go out there and play like that in front of the world!

Born in Canada, daughter of a Romanian father and Chinese mother. Not British. If she arrived aged 2 on a dingy on a beach would we claiming her at that point in her life?

I hope so, yes.

She was amazing!

Jesus.
A) She was brought up here from aged 2. And clearly her and her parents now have British citizenship. Therefore they are British.
B) re your second point. Yes. Anyone who comes here and obtains British citizenship and wants it, is therefore British.

Yes, she is. She’s playing for our multicultural and inclusive country and she smashed it.
