Don't have an interest particularly in tennis but very proud of a fellow woman, fellow person from Bromley and someone who braved it through such spotlight type stresses -

I used the love watching Chris Evert and Yvonne Goolagong back in the day. Beautiful, graceful tennis players - I much preferred it to men's tennis. Couldn't bear grunting Jimmy Connors.

Then women tennis players started grunting and it seemed to be more about power than skill.

The two young women last night were fabulous, non grunting athletes.

I only saw the winning shots but thought she was a very exciting player, thoroughly well done Emma Radacanu.

I'm from Dutch parents, born in Singapore and came to England when I was 6 years old in 1977.
Am I Singaporean just because I was born there? Dutch due to my lineage even though I've never lived there? British because I've been here since I was a small child??

FYI I have both Dutch and British passports

Elite sportspeople of either gender are allowed to grunt when they exert so much energy.

They do not have to be ladylike.

Where did I say they have to be ladylike? I don't like them grunting, they're allowed to but it's not necessary.

And you meant sex not gender.
