Mine was a (very much under age) visit to the King James Wetherspoons in Cheshunt. I ordered a massive hug of woo woo. It was grim. Grin

9! I remember my grandma giving up wee sips of avocaat and lemonade when we were quite tiny - and this must’ve been before we were 5 (I remember my grandpas still alive). It was vile.

chickensafari · 11/09/2021 08:26

Archers and lemonade. So sweet it makes my teeth ache thinking about it!

Who remembers white lightning?

There was a pub near that had white lightening on tap, I kid you not! Classy! Shock

Closed and replaced with flats these days.

Oh, now someone's mentioned Diamond White, maybe it was that?

Strong artificial cider that's never actually met an apple.

moomoogalicious · 11/09/2021 08:26

Southern Comfort and lemonade from the fox pub north london (now sadly gone)

Doggiedementia · 11/09/2021 08:27

Maybe it was diamond white.

Shall have to think.

On our 18th birthday, my family took my twin sister & I for a meal & ordered us a flaming sambucca each; although I’d been ordering vodka & orange or snakebite & black for the previous 2 years at work & the local pub…

Stircraazy · 11/09/2021 08:28

Vodka and orange from the Crown. Bleurch!

Bokky · 11/09/2021 08:28

Mine was taboo and lemonade!

LavenderAskew · 11/09/2021 08:30

@LaurieFairyCake

Snakebite and black

Totally ages me Grin

This was mine too.
SeriouslyISuppose · 11/09/2021 08:32

Pint of the local stout, I think. They would have served a toddler in a plastic moustache as long as they could hold their drink.

Justyouwaitandseeagain · 11/09/2021 08:32

Bizarrely the first occasion I truly remember was a friend recommending that we order White Russians at her birthday meal at a well known pizza chain when we must have been 13 or 14 GrinConfused

NothingIsWrong · 11/09/2021 08:34

Pint of Theakstons XB. Age 15. Trying to impress the bloke I was with. It was fucking vile and I've never touched bitter since.

Bontanics · 11/09/2021 08:35

Smirnoff ice. I was about 15 and I looked the oldest so I was sent to the bar to get 3 bottles for me and my friends. I went to the bar with about £2 thinking it was enough cos that's how much 3 drinks would be. Was a shock when the bartender said it was about £7.50. I thought I'd been ripped off just for a few drinks not realising alcohol costs more than a Panda Pop Grin

gogohm · 11/09/2021 08:36

I don't actually remember, I ordered wine in france from around 14 so would probably have been wine or possibly vodka and coke

astoundedgoat · 11/09/2021 08:37

Smithwicks in a rock bar in central Dublin with my cousin when we were both 15, on a Sunday afternoon. I couldn’t believe it.

MissCalamity · 11/09/2021 08:40

Half a lager, was so shocked to actually get served!

Does anyone drink Smithwicks any more? It seems like a drink from the past, like mead, or absinthe!
MarmiteyCrumpets · 11/09/2021 08:43

Plain Cinzano. I was fourteen and thought myself very sophisticated! Grin

MrsWooster · 11/09/2021 08:44

Snowball.

HelgaGPataki · 11/09/2021 08:45

A blue WKD or a Smirnoff ice!
I also had a thing for Malibu and coke, I find it all so sickly now

Babdoc · 11/09/2021 08:46

Vodka and lime. Well, it was the early 70s!
At lunchtime, six of us used to squash into the tiny car of one of the few sixth formers with a licence, and quickly drive to a pub just far enough away that none of our teachers would be having lunch in it. It was also known as a haven for underage drinkers.
As the smallest and skinniest, I lay across the laps of the three lads in the back seat, with my feet sticking out of the window.
We came back suitably refreshed to face double physics… Grin

findnonnaadress · 11/09/2021 08:46

Very underage, 14 or 15.
It was a bar called Roadhouse in Covent Garden. It was there for years. I ordered a Sol (like corona) with lime

snackcurator · 11/09/2021 08:48

Probably a blue wkd!

hummf · 11/09/2021 08:50

Dry martini and lemonade Grin
