My mum has just been rushed into hospital

She had a bad headache, wanted to be sick and seemed confused/weak. She's not well in general but I've never seen her look so bad. She's been positive with Covid too so came to stay with me so I could keep an eye on her.

I'm fucking terrified. Have to wait for a couple of hours before I can ring the hospital and I'm just numb. My dad is no help. I need to tell my sister but don't want to worry her until I know something.

I don't even know why I'm posting, just need to get it out I think

Hopefully they'll have some more answer for you tomorrow, but her being stable is good although it doesn't seem it now. Get plenty of rest at night and look after yourself between calls. Do you have any friends who can pop by to keep you company?

Still very much the same - stable and waiting a CT scan. Her doctor is going to ring me later on for a full update because the nurse I spoke to this morning couldn't tell me much.

Not saying this as a downer , but my dad had a massive heart attack , but his heart was artificially started but probably after too long without oxygen to the brain , he was biting on his due to involuntary muscle spasms .

The docs still aren't sure what's causing it - there's no sign of a stroke or bleed, which is good, but the still can't wake her up and the not knowing is really awful. They did bring her round a bit yesterday but she wasn't really responding to their commands so they put her back under. Waiting for another phone call from her doc today.

The waiting sounds unbearable, once you know what you're dealing with there's a kind of relief.
