In a similar vein to the hot cross bun comment - In Sweden the combo of open cheese sandwich with orange marmalade is very common.

In fact, it's probably THE thing to have if anyone bakes scones in Sweden (they seem to always be savoury ones!)

Mince pies - take the top off, pop a bit of blue cheese in there, put the top back, ping in the microwave. Absolute perfection. Typing that has got me all excited for all the Christmas foods!
