Try it. You'll thank me later

A hot mince pie…..with a large drizzle of Baileys! Wow!

imonlyhooman · 08/09/2021 21:41

Toasted malt loaf is the business with lashings of butter!

jelly79 · 08/09/2021 21:57

I want to export this whole thread in to a to do list. You are my kind of people

My contribution is toasted seeded bread, butter, marmite and mashed banana x

Cleverpolly3 · 08/09/2021 22:10

Two slices of Wholemeal toast spread with crunchy peanut butter. A fried egg, a grilled veggie burger and some slabs of Wensleydale cheese and then ketchup on.

Amazing

Also curly wurly melted a bit in a microwave and mixed with roughly chopped Brazil nuts then poured over salted popcorn

You win.

Apple pie, but before you put the pasty on abs bake,
Put a very thin layer of cheese inside. Nice crumbly Lancashire or Cheshire works well.

Or apple pie with cheddar in the shortcrust pastry.

There is a saying ‘apple pie without the cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze’

Mykittensmittens · 08/09/2021 22:17

*PASTRY on AND bake 🙄

MistySkiesAfterRain · 08/09/2021 22:18

Some of these could alter the space time continuum.

kinzarose · 08/09/2021 22:20

Chips from the chippy with honeycomb ice cream on top. Discovered this totally by accident and it was sooo good!

TheresOnlyOneWayOfLife · 08/09/2021 22:25

@LubaLuca

I'm voting you our next Queen.

You want to. We just need the rest of the nation to realise my potential now.

You need to be in charge of all food outlets selling only chilli and cheese hot x buns with Frazzles and a full menu of other flavour crisps. I'd like to nominate ready salted chipsticks and Walkers Cheese and Bacon Sensations
lissie123 · 08/09/2021 22:33

This is THE best thread. I want to save it and work my way through all the suggestions like a menu in a restaurant 😋

Snowwhite78 · 09/09/2021 04:51

Chocolate spread and marmite on toast

Croissants with cheddar and jam

Bacon with fried bananas

Basically anything salty and sweet ....❤️

Maskless · 09/09/2021 05:50

I love filling my mouth with plain crisps, chewing them till soft then popping in a square of milk chocolate before thoroughly masticating. Heaven. Another great combo is a bite of Ripple and a bite of Daim, chewed together. Yum.

My fave side dish currently is finely shredded cabbage and sultanas marinaded in fresh lemon juice and cyder vinegar. Leave for hours, eat as is OR drain off all the liquid and mix in a good dollop of mayo.

Alternatively the lazy way. Pop some sultanas into a new pot of coleslaw, mix well and replace the lid, put in the fridge for at least a few hours before eating. You'll thank me later.

Maskless · 09/09/2021 05:54

On the cheese theme, I love eating cold slices of cheddar at the same time as ordinary sausages, or slice the sausages and the cheddar and put them into a sandwich.

Deathraystare · 09/09/2021 06:44

NO NO! Stop it, all of you!

devildeepbluesea · 09/09/2021 06:49

Please can this thread go in classics? So many combos to try when I've finally shifted this 3 stone!

Bluebird282 · 09/09/2021 07:33

You dirty bastards.

idontlikealdi · 09/09/2021 10:17

McDonald's fries dipped in vanilla milkshake. Extra salt.

Precursor to salted caramel and salted chocolate IMO.

vampirethriller · 09/09/2021 10:23

Here's another I like:
Plain naan bread, sliced fresh figs, slices of goats cheese or gorgonzola, black pepper.
Grill till it's melted and the bread is slightly crispy
Drizzle honey over.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 09/09/2021 13:45

Galaxy Ripple crumbled over porridge or cornflakes. You're welcome.

Anordinarymum · 09/09/2021 14:06

@MrsRandallFraser

Mince pies - take the top off, pop a bit of blue cheese in there, put the top back, ping in the microwave. Absolute perfection. Typing that has got me all excited for all the Christmas foods!
Oohh............

Must remember to try this

Mysa74 · 09/09/2021 15:04

Hot Black grapes, especially the Vittoria ones... they taste so different from cold grapes, a real treat rather than a healthy option Grin

Mysa74 · 09/09/2021 15:07

@nananacomeon

I've never had a biscoff because I imagine they are coffee flavoured. What do they taste like and are they good for dipping in tea.
Caramel? Definately not coffee. I don't like tea rather so can't help on that one. They work well dunked in hot chocolate though, solid but melty Wink
Mysa74 · 09/09/2021 15:07

*either

SlipperTripper · 09/09/2021 15:10

Nutella on toast, with super thinly cut strong cheddar on top - ideally sliced with a potato peeler
