Welcome everyone, this is a thread for all of those that would like to support each other in the lead up to Christmas, in our efforts to reduce our waists. All those that suspect or are going through perimenopause are welcome.
I have tagged everyone from our August thread: this thread is for September onwards, so we can continue using the old thread in the meantime. @Katekarate @ginsparkles @CakeandGo @badpuma @HelpMeTree @RoseAddict @SailorGeri @Bambooshoot @LlamaofDrama @GreySweater @MrsDThomas @shallwegoforawalk @torquewench @foxandbee @HoliHormonalTigerLilly @pastaparadise @theghostofchristmasarse @CharmingScene @Rupeertpenrysmistress @katplva @OverbyYer @dudsville @isthismylifenow @boon @ThatsAllFolks @AliciaMayEmory @Cornishbelle @Purplepeopleeaterz @Eggmcmuffin @MinnieMountain @AttaGirrrrl @TheRealKateAdie @Badgerstmary @Jackieweaverishere @pinkcattydude @EarringsandLipstick @VivaDixie @AliciaMayEmory @JMAngell @GarethBatesManBun @polkadotpjs @HappyHedgehog247 @Tiggles @Leftbutcameback @Itwasgoodwhileitlasted @Timeforredwine

A bit of positive news. After no movement in August I lost momentum and forgot to measure my waist but I’ve just done it now and I’ve lost 3.9 cm. I’ve walked and added in a few weights and feel really pleased that although I’m not losing the weight as quickly as I want I might actually be toning up. Even feel a bit bad that my diet this weekend was so appalling.

This thread dropped off my list but looks like it fell away anyway..... Anyone fancy starting it back up?

I've started, very slowly, to lose the lockdown/peri weight. I've committed to walking my steps EVERY day which means a walk before work as well as in my lunchtime (except on days when I run). And I've dropped from 3 meals a day to 2, which feels sad but is helping. I've always struggled with lunch, relying on bread and cheese way too much, so I now have "brunch", with fruit, skyr and granola bowls being my lazy go-to option.

Haven't measured my waist yet, waiting for The Period From Hell (TM) to subside and take its bloatedness with it.

My tape measure is AWOL but my scales are happy. I'm back to my pre-lockdown weight and feeling good on it.

Exercise is up as I'm HM training... and have signed up for a marathon next spring!

Eating is a bit more mindful. I find 5:2 days harder as the days get cooler, but I'm using the rough principle of a couple of days of intermittent fasting and a lighter calorie intake. I'm also busier which is great at not boredom picking.

Just reviving better habits really.
