What’s a weird/unusual but ultimately pointless, mundane fact about yourself?

Mine is that I always end up sleeping with my head at the foot of the bed. Don’t know how I end up there or why I do it. Partner never notices me performing backflips either!

I have heterochromia and have different coloured eyes.

And I have huge big toes. I mean like totally huge out of proportion. If I measure my feet with deducting out my big toe I would be a size 5. I wear a 9 Shock

Also, got tonsils removed a few years back, mid 30s. Totally horrific. Please god, do not let them grow back! Ever!

I have various stomach / digestion problems, (IBS etc), but I also get oesophageal spasms which start as a fluttering sensation in my chest, then progress to feeling like my oesophagus is being squeezed in a vice. It only lasts a few seconds and I've had it on and off all my life. Have had various investigations that have come to nothing - most doctors have never heard of it. I've been prescribed every drug for acid reflux / indigestion under the sun, plus offered anti depressants, told to 'calm down and relax' and even had a course of CBT. No effect at all. I figure it was going to kill me, it would have done so by now. Wink

I’m colour blonde, both blue/green and re/brown. Quite unusual for a female.
I can cross my toes.

Gilead · 24/08/2021 22:49

CaMePlaitPas · 24/08/2021 23:03

I have graves in my garden
Oooh details please!
GNCQ · 24/08/2021 23:20

When I hear "white noise" eg, an extractor fan, a distant waterfall, distant traffic, I hear music. I often say "where's that music coming from?" when there is none.

leavesthataregreen · 24/08/2021 23:28

@Craftycorvid

I am that person on the bus/train to whom random strangers tell their life stories.

I can not only touch my toes but actually get my hands under my feet and stand on them.

I've just tried the hands under feet thing and can do it!

But nowhere near getting a fist inside my mouth, Can't even get half a fist in.

@noblegreenk

I always sneeze in multiples of 3. I never noticed until my husband brought it up, but he's right.
Yes I do this too and I did it two days in a row just last week, it just happens now and then usually!
ClumpingBambooIsALie · 24/08/2021 23:33

Same here GNCQ, and once it's in there, even if I go outside the range of the white noise, the illusory music remains — I once went round the whole house trying to work out what was playing Pachelbel's Canon on repeat, before realising it was the same volume everywhere and therefore must be coming from inside my own head…

Fumnudge · 24/08/2021 23:37

We share hiccups in our family. If one starts out with them they get pass around all day between me and my 2DDs, DH doesn't get to join in Wink

ChocolateHelps · 24/08/2021 23:37

I can wiggle the very end of my nose. A bit like in Bewitched except the end of my nose goes up and down, not side to side

Downtherefordancing · 24/08/2021 23:49

@DazedWifelet

I was born with a rudimentary 6th digit on each hand (attached to the pinkie). There was much shock and crying🤣🤣🤣🤣I believe Anne Boleyn had the same affliction.
Snap - me too 😊
Cattenberg · 24/08/2021 23:54

I have synaesthesia. Letters and words have colours and some words have tastes.

If I wake up naturally I can sense what time it is to within five minutes.

ItallwentwrongwhenBowieleft · 25/08/2021 00:12

I have no pulse in my left arm after a large blood clot.

Afterwards my GP told me to wear a bracelet on my left arm saying 'no pulse' because:
"If you were involved in a major disaster & medics were looking for people with a pulse who could be helped, they'd leave you to die if they checked your left arm"
He was a cheery soul Confused

marthamydear · 25/08/2021 00:52

I can smell things that no other human seems to smell. It is awful at times and I have been known to smell illness.

Various gas leaks that gas men can't smell and smells in the air that others just can not detect. I'm like a bloodhound :)

It has been said that I think and talk in a similar way to Ross Noble or Eddie Izzard. I go off on tangents and bring it all back together when I have finished what I have said.
I try to manage this and not say it out loud when in a professional setting.

HateJudgmentalPeople · 25/08/2021 09:57

Wow so many magic people here! I’m jealous that I’m just normal that way and have no special tricks Confused
