What’s a weird/unusual but ultimately pointless, mundane fact about yourself?

Mine is that I always end up sleeping with my head at the foot of the bed. Don’t know how I end up there or why I do it. Partner never notices me performing backflips either!

When I go to bed, if I tell myself to wake up at any given time I do !
This is not a routine thing - literally it's any time I think about !

Shoxfordian · 24/08/2021 18:14

I read in paragraphs not word by word or line by line so I finish a standard 300 page book in a couple of hours. Never met anyone who reads as fast as me

frazzledfragglefromfragglerock · 24/08/2021 18:20

I used to recruit for MI5. Not as exciting as it sounds but it's a good one to tell people!

My 2 "eye" teeth never grew properly. I still have one which is like a little peg (and heavily filled) and the other one only grew a tiny point and it was removed by the worlds shortest orthodontist who then used braces to make it too small a gap for a bridge but wide enough to look really shit! I have a gap which I hate. My Aunty had similar but thankfully all my kids have inherited their dad's massive horse teeth!!Grin

If I see someone shrug, I do an involuntary ‘sympathy shrug’. I have no control over it, it’s like a spasm.

LemonCandle · 24/08/2021 18:58

This is fascinating. My middle toes are all the same size (only the big and little toes are different), I have one pointed Spock ear and I used to be a life model.

Mabelface · 24/08/2021 19:02

@shoxfordian - I also read like that.

totorostoes · 24/08/2021 19:15

@Mogloveseggs

I have 3 nipples
Awh that was going to be my fact! I can’t think of anything else to say now!
PhoboPhobia · 24/08/2021 19:17

If I carry anything on one shoulder, bag, something with a strap, no matter how light it is, my left index finger gets really itchy and swells up.

If I use a backpack it doesn’t happen. If I carry the bag on my right shoulder it still happens to my left finger.

DazedWifelet · 24/08/2021 19:40

I was born with a rudimentary 6th digit on each hand (attached to the pinkie). There was much shock and crying🤣🤣🤣🤣I believe Anne Boleyn had the same affliction.

Shoxfordian · 24/08/2021 19:54

@Mabelface

I knew I couldn’t be the only one Grin

thisisnotmyllama · 24/08/2021 20:09

I have a toe which can predict the weather. I injured it as a teen, and now it always aches when it’s going to rain in two days’ time (never more or less than two days).

@Hellocatshome

I think *@mybalconyiscracking* means she was the first woman as opposed to a man making it not that she was the first ever to make it.
Oh I see, why didn't I think of that? 🤦‍♀️

I too have had my tonsils removed twice and also think I see colours more vividly than others, especially men.

orangetriangle · 24/08/2021 21:33

I have a few
I have an orange ring around my eye colour this is apparently on the same lines as having two different colour eyes and has a name
I have webbed second and third toes on both feet though one is worse than the other hence why I could never stand on pointed in my ballet class as a teenager as those toes bend in half forwards in the middle
I am double jointed in the back and when I had an epidural whilst having my second child it didnt work!!
The top part of my little finger on my right hand bends inwards as does my mums
I broke my ankle and can feel the screw heads holding it together
I was extremely good at contortionist type gymnastics as a teenager
Iconsistantly dream every night however I can also remember snippets from dozens of dreams I have had about the same subject manner . My brain flicks back through the dreams rapidly one after the other . I used to only be able to do this right after I had woken up but now can do it at random times.
My long term memory is so good I can remember the layout if my house when I was three years old amongst other random things!!
Just a few odd things about me !!!

orangetriangle · 24/08/2021 21:40

Another one I can bend my thumb on both sides back to touch my wrist

orangetriangle · 24/08/2021 21:40

I read so fast I am practically reading the end if the line before the beginning!!

orangetriangle · 24/08/2021 21:44

and another one lol I am moderately deaf but when I went to have my ears syringes the audiologist said I had the widest ear canals he had ever seen and asked had I had them widened errr nope

orangetriangle · 24/08/2021 21:45

I am allergic to horses and cats but not all cats havent been able to work out why some and not others yet!!

MyShoelaceIsUndone · 24/08/2021 22:27

I have webbed toes, 2nd and 3rd from big toe and webbed halfway up the toes and it’s on both feet
I have green eyes (only 2% of the world’s population do)

Twittootwat · 24/08/2021 22:32

I know when a spider is in the room before I see it. I just sense it’s presence. The bigger the spider the stronger the sense.

MyShoelaceIsUndone · 24/08/2021 22:32

I know there’s going to be thunder and lightning as I get a headache and the bags under my eyes get dark

Twittootwat · 24/08/2021 22:35

I also wake up at dead on 5:00 a clock on Christmas morning. From when I was a child to now, as a grown ass woman.

Dogmum40 · 24/08/2021 22:38

I can’t spread my fingers out properly, the two fingers in between my forefinger and little finger on both hands don’t separate, I basically look like I’m doing a very shit interpretation of live long and prosper from Star Trek but with different fingers Grin

TheVolturi · 24/08/2021 22:41

The first name that everyone knows me as is not the name on my birth certificate. I did not realise this myself till I was in my teens.

Dinkydody · 24/08/2021 22:43

@languagelover96

I am exceptionally short, 4'8 only.
Me too ☺️
noblegreenk · 24/08/2021 22:46

I always sneeze in multiples of 3. I never noticed until my husband brought it up, but he's right.
