The Jam - just amazing what a sound 3 people can make. Weller is of course a genuis - many of those songs were written when he was still a teenager - - but the basslines are amazing too. Down in the tube station- brilliant example of that

The Tragically Hip.
Best concert I've ever been to and that was 25 years ago. The lead singer, Gord Downie, died a few years ago. I'm gutted that I'll never see them live again.

Duran Duran better than The Jam!?

Duran has strong melodies but the lyrics are dire. Even SLB doesn't know what The Reflex is about - he literally made up nonsense
