Am posting here for more traffic

I am currently doing a decent size throw for the living room, it's taking me forever but am going to start doing a few rows a day to speed it up a bit. I am fairly new to crocheting I can do basic stitchs but haven't ventured further than blankets yet. I want to try some hats soon for Xmas presents in some good quality 100%ish wool.

I have several projects on the go - a scarf with lettering, gloves for a friend, a jumper for me (considering frogging that though, it's boring), re-usable water balloons...possibly something else I've forgotten.

There's a whole crochet, knit & natter thread over in arts & crafts here :)

I have a thousand wips!

I’ve just had a request for a wide and long granny scarf similar to the one in the picture but three different shades of pink and a grey as the colours.

I crochet all the time, often taking a project out with me on my daily hikes as I can sit in beautiful countryside and crochet to my hearts content.

I’ve made a gazillion of these in all different colour ways as requests from family and friends.

I am making D'Historie Naturelle image here I am really not enjoying it and usually I do the calenders this one however has been a hard slog and even though I am almost done i am struggling to pick it up and finish.

I have in the past made Sophies universe and the Ubuntu and loved them both. I WIL finish but I will never make another. I also doubt I will ever make something by this designer again.

I'm a blanket maker! I've just finished one for a friend and I've now only got 3 on the go. A cotton lace one, a colourful one for charity and a pink merino one.

I love crocheting. It is so soothing.

Glenthebattleostrich · 21/08/2021 10:01

Im making a cozy stripe throw for my mum for Christmas. Then Im doing a couple of baby blankets, one for my niece and one for a client. I have a jumper on the hooks Ive been messing with for a while and im about to do some little Christmas decorations for the children I look after.

Ive just finished a stickman set too.

I have 2 weeks off so looking forward to getting some WIPs done 😁

ForCluckSake · 21/08/2021 10:05

That's beautiful Enko. Can I ask what's made it a slog? I'd like to do one of the big blanket patterns at some point - I'm swaying towards "For..." I think.

I had forgotten one but it's not a WIP yet; I want to make these socks in rainbow yarn and white.

Anubias · 21/08/2021 10:08

I have a few wip but currently making an amigurumi yellow shrimp.

BlackeyedSusan · 21/08/2021 10:08

My house is full of UFOs:
7 blankets Shock
One wool hat
One set of crochet figures.

ForCluckSake · 21/08/2021 10:08

Last night I ordered this yarn to make balaclava’s for my dogs for part of their Halloween costumes. It’s only acrylic but the colours are what I wanted to get the autumnal vibe!

Some lovely crocheting on here. I saw a gorgeous lid on a letterbox yesterday. All crochet even a little tree and car. There were little crochet hearts attached that you were welcome to take away. I wish I’d taken a photo it was so lovely Smile

EATmum · 21/08/2021 10:34

I'm crocheting a blanket in stripes of blue and green - no pattern, just making it up as I go as it's v basic. I'm a recent convert and love the soothing way it comes together. Also my main love is sewing, and crochet is much more portable/sociable too.

EATmum · 21/08/2021 10:36

Hope this photo works ..

I have crochet envy here! I've just finished my first granny square after much unpicking and I think I'm hooked! Pun intended.

Ok I have a lot to learn but it's something I can pick up when I have a spare moment plus it stops me snacking in front of the tv! Smile

I taught a friend to crochet when she wanted to give up smoking as she said she didn’t know what to do with her hands! It worked!
Enko · 21/08/2021 11:31

@lucysmam I think its been a slog as the repeats are huge so you can't remember them. Like an entire side is one repeat. So its not a relaxing piece to sit with. I also did t like the corners that where made separately.

If you are considering a ig blanket can I suggest you look at Deirdi Uris [[https://lookatwhatimade.net/crafts/yarn/crochet/ubuntu/ubuntu-cal-2018-information/ Ubuntu]] it's a pleasure to make and there are step by step crochet videos on YouTube
