40 flamingo things

It's my little sister's 40th at the end of Sept.
I'm one of 4 sisters (and a brother who keeps out of the way!) and we are clubbing together for a day out to celebrate - meal, event etc, but we all do something individual as well.

I want to get her 40 flamingo things; maybe one or two things up to a tenner or so and then a bunch of stuff (bookmark, pen, lip balm, candles, that sort of thing).

All idea welcome - daft or otherwise.

Obviously it's up tobm you and we don't know your sister but I can't imagine many people being impressed at receiving lots of tat.

Additionally when you add up 2 or 3 pounds x40 it would add up to quite a large sum of money which could be spent on something more meaningful.

I get the idea. Did 60 golden things for a 60th once but did try to get things that would be used including a pack of Kerrygold butter ( was getting desperate ) but think all gold chocolates, gold blend etc, single gold leaf . It was an in joke for a "golden girl" and she loved it

My OP says "bookmark, pen, lip balm, candles", which might contain some plastic, but would be useful, so there's nothing to reconsider.

Does she have a real obsession with flamingos or something?
