Favourite Madonna songs/era?

Just went down a YouTube wormhole watching Borderline and Dress You Up, thought they were the best but then the Blonde Ambition songs like Vogue and Express Yourself followed...

I've just looked at my CD collection and spotted Oh Father on one of my Madonna albums. Really liked that song. Also Take a Bow and another slow song that I've forgotten the name of 🤦🏻‍♀️

Just found it on my Greatest Hits Volume 2 CD. Its called The power of goodbye 😥

Human Nature was also a great single

La Isla Bonita, This Used to be my Playground, Boderline - love them all. I like a good ballad.

Favourite Albums are Like a Prayer and Immaculate Collection. Her voice was really not all that great at the start, but she was such a fantastic performer. She was bloody awful at Live Aid though. I loved her in Evita and you can really hear the difference in her vocal range after that.

I just loved her style in the 80s - I used to go out with all the lace in my hair and the fingerless lace gloves. It is incredible how she has kept her career going, constantly reinventing herslef, even if I don't like the later stuff and especially hated the Hanky Panky and Madam X eras.

I think only Kylie has been as successful in keep changing it up and keeping her career going.

I remember being 17 and I had the cassette single which I drove into the ground on my walkman that entire August. I was on an island off the coast of Maine and spent my weeks there kissing a boy I fell so hard for. It was such a summer of love... and then it was over. I still love Cherish. It takes me right back.

Like a Virgin- over and over is my fave, and Ray of Light, love most of those. During a similar YouTube wormhole sesh I came across a really early song, from when she was in a new wave band called Shit on the Ground. I loved it!!

Promise to Try makes me cry. You can hear her voice crack with emotion. I also lost my mother as a child and feel every word.

Love early Madonna, not really liked anything she's done since Justify my Love. Really like this performance of Keep it Together.

Loved Madonna when I was a kid. Have fond memories of trying to copy her style and voguing with my mate in her living room (we looked like dicks, obvs).

I don't think I liked anything after Erotica. Ray of Light was ok and some of the ones on Music. I think she stopped leading the way when Lady Gaga came out, even though Gaga has pretty much copied Madonna's MO. I think there's possibly a bit of jealousy on Madonna's part, in that Gaga has managed to be a successful actress, something Madonna was absolutely desperate for. She was very dismissive of LG when she first appeared on the scene although she made sure she was photographed with her at the oscars, albeit through gritted teeth.

Madonna went to see Gaga often when she hadn't made it big.
What got her back up was Born this way and then Gaga saying Whitney Houston was her inspiration.
They're friends now again.

Haven’t listened to her for years as I’m not so much of a fan now but she was bloody amazing in the 80s - first person I ever saw live, Roundhay Park, Leeds in maybe ‘85?

I used to have loads of scrapbooks of press cuttings and all her albums on tape. And obviously the lace gloves and crucifixes etc.

I don’t love how she comes across now but she was one of the first women I ever admired and fair play to her for a fantastic career.

I went to the Blonde Ambition concert at Wembley - it was bloody awesome, one of my favourite concerts ever. I also went to see her at Earls Court early 2000's, I think. Lease said about THAT the better.

I think that's the concert I went go too! Except I saw her Nice as was on holiday in the South of France at the time. It was August but I can't remember which year 🤔

I saw Blonde Ambition at Wembley. Amazing concert but she was a cold performer. All about the reaction.

True Blue is my favourite album, favourite songs are Get Into the Groove and La Isla Bonita.

I last saw her perform her rebel heart tour and am tempted to get tickets for her latest tour as it promises to be from all her back catalogue. Shame the ticket prices are so high but then she is pretty much one of the most famous female singers!

My favourite is the remix album ‘You can dance’ great early tracks, Spotlight, Over and Over, Physical Attraction and absolutely love ‘Where’s the Party’ remix.

Early stuff - Borderline, Holiday, Like a Virgin, Crazy for you. Amazing.

I love Borderline. Then Deeper and Deeper. Beautiful Stranger I remember hearing on the radio before the film came out and loving it. Then I loved 'don't tell me' and the video.
But believe me there are loads I hate
