What’s the worst thing you’ve forgotten to take on holiday?

There’s always something I forget! Our car is all packed for the off tomorrow but it feels like I’ve forgotten something.

Tent poles. Remembered the tent, forgot the poles! 🤣🤣

The bag containing all our toiletries and the electric toothbrushes. It was an expensive trip to Boots the next day!

Oh...also I took my DH to Copenhagen for Valentine's and when we got there he commented it was snowing. I thought he was being romantic but it was actually the realisation he hadn't brought warm clothes or a coat with him!

My contact lens solution. I was going to take them out on the 10 hour flight, but couldn’t as I didn’t have solution to store them in. These were long lasting contact lenses, usually replaced once a year, so didn’t want to just throw them away. I had to keep them in and stay awake until I got some solution at my destination.

When DD1 was a baby she had quite a severe milk allergy and reflux. I forgot to pack her anti reflux medication. Very stressful.

Not forgotten - but worst one was turning up a week early for a self catering holiday with some friends. Wrong week booked off work - had to rearrange that, find somewhere else to stay and rearrange ferry booking - so I did in the end get to see my friends!

Went a away on a short break with a friend and our 3 kids to the South coast. Long long drive. The property we were staying at belonged to her parents. Got about half way there when she realised she'd forgotten the keys to get in. Her parents kindly drove to meet us so we didn't have to go all the way back. That was a long long day 😬.

It was my fault of course, according to OH, because everything usually is,🤔🤨

All the tickets to Florida theme parks and car hire. Got left on the check in desk in Manchester. Managed to print most of them out except Sea World. They let us in eventually. It was really stressful.

Spending money once we arrived in Ibiza. Hubby blamed me and went in a total mood Id forgotten it, even tho he was one who had got the currency. It was in her car door the whole time!
Forgot my full make up bag - twice! Spain holiday - cost a fortune buying a few bits to tide me over! second time was disneyland paris! I look awful, pale and tired in all photos 🤣

The passports. Husband raced home to try to get them before the flight left, but we just missed it. 7 hours in airport waiting for the next one.

This will seriously date me but...

I once packed my Walkman and even remembered batteries, just forgot to pack tapes to play there wasn't even on in the thing! Grin

Overseas, arse end of nowhere pretty much so I ended up buying tapes of bad cover versions!

We went to Centerparcs with our 8 month old baby a few years ago, just at a time when we were only just starting to get back to having sex (I had had a very difficult birth.) My husband remembered to pack condoms but no lube! I just couldn’t do it without lube as it was too uncomfortable down below, and that was the year we discovered that Centerparcs shops do sell condoms…but they don’t sell lube! Hubby never ever forgot to pack it after that!

@ThePontiacBandit I have a list on my phone these days - top of it are all the things I've forgotten on previous occasions!

Mainly charger cables and meds I'm afraid. Meds are daily so can't be packed until I've taken last dose

Ex once forgot formal SHOES for a wedding - suited up and wearing trainersGrin bride was not impressed but no biggie I don't think. Easy enough to cut feet out on photos

I forgot to remove my key from the door after locking it. Ex h bloody turned up and must have had a good old snoop.
