What’s the worst thing you’ve forgotten to take on holiday?

There’s always something I forget! Our car is all packed for the off tomorrow but it feels like I’ve forgotten something.

I'm on holiday now - have forgotten my goggles. Annoying but not disastrous.

Went on holiday (packed at the last minute after a few drinks with friends), early morning flight from Heathrow.

Realised before the flight landed we'd forgotten to grab the Euro train tickets we'd booked for our multi city/ country two week stay (this was back in 2010 when they were still paper versions. Or maybe I just elected to receive them that way, not email to print myself)

Had to go out and buy them again in each city, but at least we got a partial refund once we came home and sent them back

Tonic, I once forgot the tonic and we had to substitute with the only thing we had in the caravan - Fruit shoots.
I can honestly say I have never bought fruit shoots since, they are truly awful.

I forgot to bring back a whole load of expressed breast milk. It took me HOURS to express whilst on holiday. Blood, sweat and tears were left it in the fridge of the holiday house. Gutted didn't come close.

Driving licence. Hired a car in the states and remembered just as we were about to land
Ditto DH changed his jeans at the last moment and forgot to switch his wallet. We have a joint account so funds were ok but his licence was in the wallet - and only Dh could drive at the time.

A handbag. Happens to me a lot. It's very annoying to have to take a big travel Rucksack everywhere.

Shoes. I left for the airport in my slippers which had a hole in the toe!! First day into the holiday, DH fell ill so we didn't go out anyway. Probably just as well.

Got off a cruise ship and forgot the dirty washing was in a different extra bag and we left on the quayside in Miami. We then drove to Orlando, realised what we’d done and it arrived by post two days later. Phew!

DH forgot trunks for a 2 week holiday to Mauritius
We once left all our toiletries behind going to France.

Trousers! Went to a wedding and stayed overnight. Forgot to pack trousers for the next day. I wore my black pajama bottoms with the ends turned up to hide the sleeping Homer Simpson picture.

We forgot my husband's daily medication. Luckily the holiday was on the Isle of Wight so the GP faxed the prescription to the local
chemist.

my knickers lol, found a shop in bulgaria that sold them it was either g strings or bridgette jones, got the latter and they cam up to my boobs lol

Shoes other than flip flops for a walking holiday. We got to the hotel and the owner said jokingly ‘well I hope you’re not planning to go up the fells with them on’. How we laughed.

First day was ruined trying to find me some walking shoes, because of course the only shop with my size was an hour away and they were £££

Years ago DH was responsible for loading all the carefully packed bags into the car. This was his only job. We drove 10 hours to our destination in France, to discover he’d left the bag with all our shoes sitting in the middle of the living room floor. Ffs.

My night time medication 🤦🏻‍♀️. Had it in my hand and clearly didn’t put it in the bag. It was the only one I couldn’t buy over the counter out of my meds.

We were off to stay in a caravan and took the PS4, I forgot the controller! Luckily we were making a two day stop at my granny's before we arrived at the park so I had to order one on prime delivery!

Nearly 6 hours into the first leg of our honeymoon road trip I realised I'd left my medication at home. It was a Sunday so no chance of doctors sending another prescription to a local pharmacy in time for when they were due so we had to go back and get them. When we got back we found one of our bags on the driveway and 2 windows open downstairs!

The next time I forgot underwear, shoes and DH's wallet. I had a spare pair of shoes in the boot that I was planning on swapping into as the ones I wore for the journey were uncomfortable. Ended up leaving both pairs on the floor in the service station. I had cash but no cards so we managed to get groceries but not much else. We were on a 2 week holiday in a cottage in the middle of nowhere so underwear didn't matter much Blush

Locking wheel nut for car, when driving in France. Realised when we called breakdown service out after bursting a tyre. Ended up getting all 4 locks cut off.
