What things do you only have at Christmas and not through the year and why?

For example I only ever buy pate at Christmas. I love it. Its readily available all year yet until today have never purchased any time other than Christmas

I get that some things you generally only get around Xmas but I mean things that are in shops all year but wouldn't normally buy.

Currently working my way through a tonne of pate and ritz.

Pate and chocolate orange here too. Can get them all year round (whereas stuff like mince pies, panettone and pigs in blankets you can't), yet don't think to buy them outside of Christmas season.

Tubs of quality street. Because I'd be so fat otherwise!

Cherry liquor chocolates. I can make a box last until February but I’ll only buy one and it’s for Christmas.

Who said they throw out the pickled onions? Send them to me. Love pickled things but rarely buy them as DH hates them all.

We only buy orange juice at Christmas! Think that’s a carry over from our uni days where we pumped weights like crazy and ate like bodybuilders. When I taste orange juice it just screams Christmas to me. Also, smoked salmon, I wish we could have it more often but it’s so expensive and we’ve only recently sorted our first mortgage out. So expect I’ll only be tasting that again in five months time

Sherry trifle. My mum's was delicious and as a non drinker used to go a bit crazy on the sherry. I now buy the one out of M&S at Christmas. Really should make my own but Dh isn't fussed and I would end up eating it all. not that I don't already eat all the Mark's one

Love the cherry liquor chocolates. Was nearly going to buy a box recently but resisted. Love to have a couple with a coffee

Apparently in NI we aren't going to get some of our Christmas favourites from M&S This NI protocol really sucks.

Oh god. I'm on my summer holiday but now can't wait for Christmas.

Thanks a lot OP

I think I'll have to have a look at the Christmas thread now!
