New thread here, since the Last Thread has ever so slowly filled up. Isn't it amazing how little our worries crept up in the night when the world was actually one big worry?

Pandemic or not, this is the place to just park your worries. We don't ask questions, or try to solve your problems. We just hold them, tenderly, carefully, until you are strong enough to take them back. If they choose not to come back, all the better.

I'm reminded of the saying "In the kindness of strangers we see the face of God". Whether people of faith or not, there is much truth in that.

Could I just ask somebody to mind my heavy mind? It isn't full of anything particularly just feeling a bit troubled.

Signing in for the night watch. Any worries can be tucked up nice and cozy at the end of the bed. Me and the cat will take care of them while you sleep.

Please mind mine. If there's anyone around. I've been in hospital all night with teenage dd. It's looking like meningitis. I'm so worried at having to leave her. She's quite well and I only came to hospital because 111 told me to. She will be having a lumbar puncture without a parent present tomorrow.

Holding this for you. She will be surrounded by care and get professional attention. She will know you love her 💜 even if she has to face some of it alone. She won't be in pain because that's their job, they'll look after her.

Thank you- they've let me stay with her in a side room. So no sleep but the lumbar puncture is done (brave girl) and we did it together 💪

I’m here to mind any worries that need to be parked for the night. If I fall asleep I have a terrierist, a boarding border collie, and a 🦜 who will quite happily chew on them for you... disclaimer: worries may not be returned in the same condition you left them in

I’m still feeling flaky so going to have an early night, if anyone has space for my insecurities I could do with parking them up for the dark hours

I have space if you are happy for me to hold them. The space is down at the river. I’m going to float them down towards the sea.

So I won’t technically be holding them once I Chuck them in the water.

It is either that or I sit on them.

And they could get lost in a lurk.

Initial thoughts are ruling out meningitis. And we are home - but lots of pain still. I would return the minding tonight but I must sleep!!

The neds smoking whatever down at the river will guide your anxieties to the rapids.

Once they are there, there is no stopping them.

(I made the same mistake on a tractor inner tube once… the rapids - not the smoking!)
