New thread here, since the Last Thread has ever so slowly filled up. Isn't it amazing how little our worries crept up in the night when the world was actually one big worry?

Pandemic or not, this is the place to just park your worries. We don't ask questions, or try to solve your problems. We just hold them, tenderly, carefully, until you are strong enough to take them back. If they choose not to come back, all the better.

Hope you’re all doing ok, lovelies. I’m going to pop a zopiclone in an hour or so but if you would like me to mind any worries, either get them in early or just chuck them at my bed and I’ll cuddle them in and take care of them for the night.

I genuinely do hope everyone is doing well. Life is so hard sometimes but this thread warms my bones.

I laughed at the thought of chucking the worries at your bed. A new Olympic sport for us here!

Seriously though, the kindness of people on this thread has gotten me through some dark nights. I’m bright enough today to pay it forward.

Can I leave some worries here now? It’s still early where I leave but I don’t think me worrying is going to help anything.

I’m here for the night watch as well. The cat is a seasoned worry warrior so any problems will be safe with us.

@Hannayeah you are in good hands tonight. You just leave it with us and we'll all wrangle your pesky worries. You just relax, enjoy the rest of the evening knowing you have nothing to keep you awake later.

Please may I share my worry? My eldest brother is terrible with money and has asked me for a loan. Hasn’t specified an amount yet but will be hundreds. He takes months to pay money back and I am struggling myself at the moment and being very careful. My brother on the other hand has been out for meals and joined a gym! I don’t know what to do. Thank you.

hello @NatWestPigFamily, yes of course you may leave that worry right here. You don't have to share it - we'll take full control of it for now, so that you can just be. Don't give it any mind space for now; just relax and rest. That's it. We've got this one for now.

Can I kindly ask someone to mind my worries for the night? Have a few work dilemmas that are running exhaustingly through my mind. Not helped that my usual work "go to" is on leave, so I can't share them with him as I would normally do for reassurance. Usually can leave work at work, but my brain is whirring... thank you x

Reporting for worry guarding duty ☺️ on the night shift tonight and feeling a bit better myself, so I am around to pick up any worries for the worry jar. I would say the dog will be guarding them but she is busy dreaming away on the sofa ☺️

My Dad was taken into hospital this afternoon. He's dehydrated, not really eating and at risk of falls.
A good conversation with my sister has made me feel better tonight.

On holiday. I'm up with stomach upset 😩
Waiting for one of the kids to start with it too. Would be just my luck.

A series of health concerns with upcoming tests and appointments, with a sense that I need to grab life by both hands but when I mention this to people they all scold me and tell me 'look after myself'.

Oh dumphies I’m so sorry. I’ll mind that one for you tonight. Sending all good thoughts and hope that you can let the worries go just for now and try to get some sleep. One day at a time

I will help hold all of those worries about health, and seems the most healing thoughts to you all as you wait this out. Please try to just breathe through this, to close your eyes and let your mind go quiet. Hopefully, tummies follow suit.

Can I drop my worries off please, just for tonight? Precious friend is in hospital going through urgent tests for what looks very possibly to be cancer, and work is causing me some unnecessary issues around maternity pay which will be my responsibility to cause a ‘fuss’ about if I want to resolve. Thank you for the kindness of this lovely thread x

Here if any of our Australia/New Zealand mumsnetters or any other time zones need their worries minding. The dog is snoring peacefully next to me whilst I work and I can keep your worries on my desk for you.

Spoken to the hospital, they will update me later, just a ton of work to get on with then!
