How many Pyrex basins do you own?

I have eight (all different sizes and shapes). My friend has one. She thinks I have an excessive amount. I think she must have to constantly wash her one bowl up (and it must get lonely in the cupboard).

I use mine loads! I currently have one small and one medium one in the fridge (holding tinned pineapple rings and mashed potato), one big one with a flatter bottom on the side acting as an impromptu cold-water steriliser with water bottle tops in, two medium ones have been washed up from dinner (making gravy and custard respectively), and I've just weighed out flour into my biggest one ready to make scones tomorrow.

This is obviously light-hearted, but if you lot all have multiple bowls I think I know what I'm getting her for her next birthday. Grin And if you only have one and really and truly are happy with it and never feel the desire for another one, what do you use instead?

I have none. Not one single one. I am happy with my stance on this matter.

Three: two large, one small, they stack inside each other. I agree with your friend, eight is loads!

One small mixing bowl, one medium mixing bowl and an oven dish.

They're dull as fuck.

Seven, all lovely vintage ones with pictures of fruit and veg and lobsters.

Not Pyrex, but similar. 1x2l measuring jug/mixing bowl, 1x1l, 2x750ml bowls, 4x500ml bowls, 6x250ml bowls. Plus 2 large and 2 small Pyrex oven dishes.

Seven… three bowls, one shallow round dish (never used), three rectangular oven dishes

Two of the oven dishes are those awesome Ikea ones which can come with lids … I keep meaning to get more of those

Oh and two pyrex measuring jugs!

Far too many since I cleared out MILs house and kept hers too

Hang on, some people are counting dishes here. Surely totally different?

3 bowls - 1 massive one, 2 smallish ones.

Zero. I dropped one once and it shattered into millions of microscopic shards that took forever to clean up. I'm dyspraxic and very clumsy but nothing I've ever dropped has shattered like that. I'd never have another.

I also have two jugs, and some Pyroflam...

Perhaps I should have bought shares in them. Grin

I think I have three, did have loads of my Nan’s but that’s all that are left now.

Yep, some of mine are inherited too.

Out of my eight, I think I bought three (which were a set). The rest are from grandparents or great aunts/uncles.

14 plus 3 jugs. Some inherited & some purchased. All used regularly.

cookware and bakeware is my downfall....I cleared out loads a little while ago, but I still think I have more bowls than all of you put together so far

I have far too many set of sandwich tins, lets not talk about that either.

About 6, all different sizes. Three bought, three inherited. But, God, yes, terrifying when they break. DD accidentally dropped a nesting set of three when she was young and it was catastrophic. They shattered into zillions of pieces. Glass everywhere. Poor DD almost vomited from the shock of it.

2 Pyrex bowls, and then a big pottery batter jug, and 3 other non Pyrex bowls and a measuring jug. Various oven dishes but they come in a different category in my mind :p

I thought Eight was excessive ( I only have 3).... then I wondered if oven dishes count if they weren't round (5) and are you counting measuring jugs (that can also be used as bowls, 6)
So //blush ummm so no eight isnt excessive GrinGrin
