I'm still awake (and haven't even tried to go to sleep yet) cos I have a frozen shoulder.
I could have gone to bed three hours ago but if I had I would be up now until morning.
Much easier to wait an hour when I'm deathly tired and sleep for four/five hours than try now.
I used to love to
Sleep but it's become such a battle that I'd rather not even try.
Long gone are the days when I used to easily sleep for an eight or ten hour stretch, more if I was left to it!!
I yearn for sleep yet it's becoming such a chore.
Falling asleep is not an issue, staying asleep is Confused

Hot flush woke me up, so at least 2 hours before I get back to sleep from prior experience. Luckily my children are with nanny tonight so all alarms are now turned off, except the body clock, so here is hoping I sleep past 6.30 in the morning.

CheerfulYank · 10/07/2021 03:45

It’s still only quarter to 10 here in the States :)

LivingDeadGirlUK · 10/07/2021 03:47

I'm too hot. My son has a cough and temp, I can't find the themometer to check mine though. Its nice in the quiet though, hope my sons PCR comes back soon.

BokehBabe · 10/07/2021 03:52

Next doors dog is barking - again

bloodywhitecat · 10/07/2021 03:52

The 6 week old fosterling has just had a feed and is squirming away on me now and I am awake wondering how much longer I have with DH. He has cancer and a on a palliative pathway as his cancer is not curable. The small hours are the scariest.

Standrewsschool · 10/07/2021 03:53

Woke up feeling hot, not due to illness but night-time heat.

jetSTAR · 10/07/2021 03:54

Horrifying nightmare and don’t want to go back to sleep.

Wanderlust20 · 10/07/2021 03:58

6 week old baby and breastfeeding! Smile

LivingDeadGirlUK · 10/07/2021 04:02

Well the test just came back negative so thats a relief :)

Soulstirring · 10/07/2021 04:04

Camping and our next door tent have let their dogs out to wander and all other dogs are barking as they snaffle around other tents

lovethisjourneyforme · 10/07/2021 04:12

@bloodywhitecat that genuinely brought a tear to my eye, sending hugs Thanks

lovethisjourneyforme · 10/07/2021 04:17

I'm awake because I have insomnia so just sat here enjoying my 4am Coco Pops and Shreddies. Also my energetic calico kitty likes to sing the song of her people once she realises I'm awake.

MayorGundersonsDogRufus · 10/07/2021 04:26

I'm so sorry @bloodywhitecat. Thanks

I'm awake because my back hurts. Just discovered I have the beginnings of osteoarthritis in my spine and it's very painful. It's been an incredibly tough year and this is just one more blow. Will take some more pain meds shortly but don't want to wake DH up.

Because my shit of a boyfriend is going round his ex's house again and Im trying to find a phone tracker to locate him.

alwayswrighty · 10/07/2021 04:30

I woke up at 3.49 and now can't sleep. Completely wide awake. No idea why. I fancy walking one of the dogs but I'm not sure if it's a good idea this early.

romdowa · 10/07/2021 04:31

I've a blocked nose and the drip at the back is killing my throat and keeps waking me up. I also had a dream about a guy I dated years ago but I've just realised I cannot remember his surname and that's going to bug me for ages until I remember it!

That is so sad. Hoping many, many weeks for you all💐
neveradullmoment99 · 10/07/2021 05:09

I woke up because it was too hot!

GingerScallop · 10/07/2021 05:22

@bloodywhitecat am sorry sorry about your DH. I hope you still have some high quality time with him. Amazing that you are fostering and hope that gives you comfort and some joy.
I hardly sleep. My 8 month old sleeps in our bed and is always wiggly and looking for comforting booby. She's just slept now. My 3 year old boss wakes up n joins us every few hours. Poor dad is now with him helping him sleep.
I think I will get a cuppa now and get on with the day

1fluffydoodle · 10/07/2021 05:29

Sleeping downstairs on the sofa as everyone else in my household has tested positive for Covid. I don't want to share a bed and increase my risk of catching it & we don't have a spare room.

BellaTara · 10/07/2021 08:21

Am I allowed to join in at 8.15am? I’ve been awake for the last 3 nights with a dental abscess. Pacing, moaning, writhing… Never known a pain like it.

Onesipmore · 10/07/2021 08:34

@bloodywhitecat so sorry to read this x
I have insomnia.Nothing cures it and its driving me nuts. The Dr will give Zopiclone but only for a week a month - so there are always 3 weeks of no sleep. Well I drift off at about 4am and have to get up at 7am. Its really starting to affect me

Worrysaboutalot · 10/07/2021 20:00

@Jasmin82

Partly because one of my closest friends cut all contact with me (including blocking me on social media) because they "don't want to be seen out and about with someone in a wheelchair." Mostly because I have an RSI in both wrists and I'm waiting for the pain killers to kick in. Anytime now would be great. And a tiny bit because Resident Collie has decided that 1 AM is a great time to show everyone that she is an equal opportunities squeaker with all the squeaky toys she can find.
How hurtful of your 'closest friend', she is a terrible person. How dare she believe or say that. You are the same person whether you use a wheelchair or not!
