What should I write on my walls ?

No , I dont mean things like Live Love Life etc , each to their own but thats really not my thing .

I am in the very long proccess of redecorating , so I am stripping wall paper off .
I all of my old houses there have been little notes under the wall paper 'such and such lives here from x date '
But other than a few decoraters marks and mesurements their is nothing in this house .
So I am going to write somthing like Al moved in to this house on x and did this decorating on , , , today / tomorrows date .

What else can I write ?

What have you found wrote under wall papper ?

Oh and eldest DC dropped a toy car between floor boards and we left it for future generations as a "treasure".

My DB is 3 years older than me and lives in London(or wherever)
I'm sure the new owners will love to read about your pets...to know that you and DH are animal lovers and made a very happy home with them...they might be animal lovers also. I'd love to know that a kitty or doggie roamed around in my home in a gone by era🐈🐱🐕🦮🐕‍🦺
I like the idea of prompting the wallpaper remover to write something of their own in the square reserved for them, too.
Your DH is going to knock us up side the head for giving you all these new ideas so you have to redecorate every room and floor of your house

Somewhere along the line I missed that you and your DB work ar the same company...what a treat to run into him once a month during covid!
Forget my DH! I clicked on that link and have discovered about 50 screens that I MUST have in my house....I've never seen so many cool options! What a great idea to use one to make 2 rooms again at your home...I'm not a big fan of open floor plans either...
And I love your tip about not using the fire on the other side of the wall and the electrically wiring

I have not got many more close family members ( about 30 cousins that I dont see much though ) and nobody famous

Sadly my DH is no longer with us but he would of loved this too and certainly added his own comments .

There are some really cool screens out there aren't there , some are bloody expensive though

I am running out of space to write any more on this bit of wall now but I will come back to this thread the next time I do any wall papering.

I would love to come back to this house say about 10 years after moving out to see what the new occupants wrote and if the commented on my notes .

I have now hung my mural ( A huge lantern ) when I am back home at weekend I will try to remember to post a pic of it .

In the mean while we all still need to think of what notes we can leave on pockets / books / shoes / glove boxes , or even places like bus stops / train stations / taxi ranks

Yes, we have an uncanny ability to run threads all the way to 1000 in no time...our special talent.
A photo of your lantern will be nice to see!

It is intentionally not stuck down at the bottom am going to change the colour of the paint at the bottom I need something darker

Hahahalol..I remembered what I wanted to show you.
When I replaced our toilet I had to reconcrete under it, so I wrote our initials and date in it...surprise!

In mural was originally gonna go on a door but the image is too big and it looked wrong but I do like it in that corner as it's quite dark there.

I like initials in the concrete and paw print I was tempted to get my cat to put his paw in some pain but I thought that would be cruel
Where on earth did you get pink concrete from I've only ever seen it grey

We drew round ourselves. So left our outlines.

I inherited my relative Mabel's house. The relative inherited it from her husband (she was his second wife).
When I redecorated I found 'John loves Mabel 1967' written under the wallpaper. The date given was before the first wife left

when I was about 15 I wrote "i love current boyfriend" absolute cringe

@AlCalavicci oh yes! We have special pink concrete here in the US... not really! It is concrete for "dummies" . When you first put it down it is pinkish but then turns to normal grey to let you know when it's completely dry..I need all the help I can get whilst DIYing
