What gloriously scented things do you have in your house? Bar soap, candles, moisturiser - anything!

I'm pregnant and my sense of smell has gone through the roof. I want to surround myself with wonderfully scented things!

I ran out of face wash the other day so used a bit of my husband's. It has birch sap in it, and is the most intoxicating thing ever. I just stood there letting the shower water go cold breathing it in like a loon Grin

I also keep sticking my nose in various candles and pots of moisturiser etc as I go around the house. It's making me very happy and is helping me ignore the indigestion and back ache.

Favourites so far are the pumpkin Anthropology candle that I'm trying hard not to burn until autumn (but I take the lid off for a sniff) and an empty box that used to contain an order of bar soaps from Chateau du Savon.

So, please tell me, what are your favourite smelly things?

@Saucery I love the blue Pears soap as well

Another smell I love is Pears shower gel. It’s lovely, quite autumnal and cosy.

What a wonderful thread. So many fabulous suggestions.

@Paripale

By the fireside perfume by Replica - I love this scent - it’s a smoky vanilla with a woody base. Like wearing a hug. Really wish they would extend the range to candles/diffuser oil too.

Dyptique orange blossom room spray - lasts ages, delicate floral orange scent - very French.

This Works pillow spray - lavender and other sleep inducing oils - (smells slightly medicinal in a good way)

Heyland and Whittle Frankincense Reed diffusers (beautifully Christmassy but hard to get hold of)

I have the dupe of the fireside perfume. I love it but its wintery imo, it wouldnt smell right in the summer

I love nice scents, so sad that I still can’t smell a thing since I had covid in March. 😩

Just resurrecting this thread to mention I was in a friend’s house and she had this hand soap which smelt so lovely that I immediately went and bought one.
Body Shop soap

Aesop Reverence Aromatic hand wash. Just sniffing my hands now.
Aesop Resurection aromatique hand balm
Urban Apothecary - Fig Tree candle
Lush R&B hair moisturiser. Your hair smells so good with that.
Super Frais - fragranced mist by Kerzon - its a mist for the house, for clothes etc..

And then the perfumes, Rose33 and Vanille44 from Le Labo, Sun by Jill Sanders, Hinoki by Monocle x Comme des Garçons, Shanti Shanti and Spiritus Land by Miller & Bertaux

PhloxOfSheep · 18/07/2021 14:56

Lovely to have another recommendation - thanks! I do like Juniper, although am at odds with myself about the body shop these days. It does sound nice though.

Have you tried the shower steamer blocks on ASOS?! Oh you’ll enjoy them 🤤

I’ve got absolutely no time for candles; I’ve tried posh ones and cheap ones and nothing smells as strongly as a Reed diffuser. I absolutely swear by them. Also having kids I have real anxiety about burning candles now, sure they look pretty - but let’s be honest they don’t let off that much smell. I light the odd one or two now just for the atmosphere and now for the scent.

Reed diffusers are your best friend. I got a lovely super cheap one from home bargains in gingerbread cookie and it smells warm and lovely! Also, peeling an orange then boiling or baking the skin makes your house smell like oranges 🤭
