Really nice drinks that aren't alcoholic

What are your favourite non alcoholic drinks that you look forward to having?

I'm looking for alternatives to alcohol but something a bit more special than just plain tea, coffee, water or juice/squash/fizzy soft drinks.

I used to have a lovely bedtime tea that I had when my youngest was a baby but just the smell of it now gives me palpitations with the association of sleepless nights!!

I love cold coffee drinks, particularly caramel ones.
I love the ones with cream and sauce in! I just don't love the kcals in them.
Londontown12 · 26/06/2021 19:17

Mocktails!! And at home I have cordial with sparkling water very refreshing!! X

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 26/06/2021 20:02

Have yet to find a palatable alcohol free beer.

Ilkley Brewery’s Virgin Mary is good. Not as good as actual Mary Jane, but a good substitute.

I don’t like sweet drinks so struggle with alcohol free options, but I do like Seedlip Spice 94 with tonic.

FindMeInTheSunshine · 26/06/2021 20:44

A splash of Kalamansi juice (Waitrose "Cooks Ingredients" range if they still do it), sparkling water and loads of ice is my favourite long summer drink. So many of the non-alcoholic drinks have a lot of sugar and I can't drink too many - and I don't like sweeteners.

@RockingMyFiftiesNot - I love pineapple juice and ginger ale/ginger beer as well, but always get very odd looks when I order it. I've never met anyone else who drinks it!

HandlebarLadyTash · 26/06/2021 20:49

I favors a fancy tonic

Gorkastalker · 26/06/2021 21:40

Lidl do a morello cherry lemonade and an elderflower and lime fizzy drink, both are gorgeous.

I think non alcoholic Kopparberg is nicer than the alcoholic stuff.

Candlecandlesss · 26/06/2021 21:49

M&S zero zero rose or white fizz is very nice and not too sweet like some other no alcohol ones.

Oldraver · 26/06/2021 22:26

@Elys3 not sure where you live but I get mine from Asda and Waitrose

UrgentExitRequiredLOD · 26/06/2021 22:42

Pineapple and soda with a splash of lime cordial
Cawston’s rhubarb with apple and sparkling water

BatshitCrazyWoman · 27/06/2021 05:58

I try and avoid sweeteners, which is really hard!. I like Bottlegreen cordials, my current favourite is Juicy Bramble. With really cold water (still or sparkling) and ice. Also lovely hot. The elderflower one is lovely too. Belvoir sparkling lime is gorgeous too, and no sweeteners. M&S did some really good presse drinks too, I can't remember the flavours!

listsandbudgets · 27/06/2021 07:13

DP likes his cordials!!

Loads of non alcohol beers, lagers etc. available now and even gins.

Really nice drinks that aren't alcoholic
Fifilafrog · 27/06/2021 07:39

Elderflower cordial and sparkling water here too with ice. So refreshing!

"Pineapple and soda with a splash of lime cordial"

That sounds gorgeous, is it bottled pineapple juice you use? I am going to make this and i guess a squeeze of a fresh lime may work too or is cordial the best? Some great ideas on this thread.

Silkiecats · 27/06/2021 07:53

I love milkshakes made with nice ice cream like Kelly's clotted cream or homemade ones and milk
Elderflower cordial
Pineapple juice and coconut milk
Lemonade and lime
Homemade lemonade
Red shloer / red grape juice
I also like water with just real lime juice in but think that's just me, well me and DS.

Juanbablo · 27/06/2021 07:57

I think it's Cawston Press, the rhubarb flavoured drink. It comes in a can and it is so good!

NothingTraLaLa · 27/06/2021 08:06

I like Sanbitter (made by San Pellegrino - you can get it on Ocado) with tonic, preferably Fevertree Mediterranean. It’s sort of Aperol/Campari-ish.

lissie123 · 27/06/2021 08:08

Royal flush- fizzy Darjeeling tea. It’s AMAZING!! Bit expensive thought.

EATmum · 27/06/2021 08:33

I really like the Dorset original ginger drink that I buy at our hugely overpriced local farm shop. I drink a small glass after dinner and it feels like a grown up treat. You have to like ginger though!
Also Lucky Saint beer is the best AF version in my opinion. Sell it at Majestic.
And last weekend I had an AF G&T from M&S which was surprisingly good. It's so good to see the wide array of non alcoholic drinks available these days, which aren't all just sweet - I don't love squash or sweet fizzy drinks personally.

Yes, bottled pineapple juice, 50/50 pineapple to soda topped up with the splash of lime. As you say, fresh lime works too but you’d need more than a splash as cordial is more concentrated. Very tropical and refreshing. So many times I’ve ordered it, and the bar tender has said they’ve not been asked for that before. Try it!

coodawoodashooda · 27/06/2021 08:45

Blue beer

Mintjulia · 27/06/2021 08:59

Home made mint tea. Real ginger beer.

Standrewsschool · 27/06/2021 13:10

Just added some Fever Tree and Stan Pelegrín to my Internet order...
