Comfy non old lady sandal recommendations

Since making the summer transition to sandals and doing extra hours at work (standing up most of the day) my feet are killing me at the end of the day. Can anyone recommend some modern sandals with good support? I have 2 pairs that I seem to wear on rotation which I really love, but they were from H&M and are really flat and offer no support. I've tried googling it but I just seem to get pavers or fitflops and the designs seem a bit dated for me. Also, I don't want to be spending a huge amount on them either. Am I asking for the moon on a stick or are there some good, on trend sandals that won't kill my feet at the end of the day or cost me a small fortune?

I’ve just bought a pair of these. They are sooo comfortable ( compared to the super flat and thin soles of other Saltwater sandals).

I just got a pair of Teva midforms and they're so comfy!

I wear blowfish malibu sandals for work, at first I thought they would be uncomfortable but for walking around work they are fine. I'm on my feet all day.

Sketchers, lots of different styles. Just be careful with sizing

Birkenstocks. Great for your feet. Some cool colours too 😎

I live in these...

I have recently bought my first pair of saltwater sandals and they're the comfiest sandals I've owned. I've barely worn anything else since!

I've brought a couple of pairs of Skechers with a slight wedge heel and memory foam and they are wonderful.

My dd has just got these from Seasalt and they're lovely and comfy...

Thanks for the suggestions!! As soon as I get home I put on my havaianas and it's like walking on air they are so so comfy! Wish I could find something as comfy but more practical!

I’ve found Teva sandals to be equivalent to my havaianas.

KingdomScrolls · 17/06/2021 22:45

@colouringindoors I bought these last summer when they were doing 50% blue light discount and wish I had bought them in every colour. I have some of their other sandals which are very comfortable but these are like having nothing on your feet except cushioned soles

mistermagpie · 17/06/2021 22:48

I love Birkenstocks but for this year I've just bought some from blowfish, the soles are padded and not super flat and they are ok to look at!

I like Reiker sandals and shoes, I find them so comfortable. I usually buy them from Amazon as there aren't many shops that sell them. There's usually free returns.

candycane222 · 17/06/2021 22:59

I have some of these in pink www.hotter.com/gb/en/tourist-ii-sandals-tourzs-product-44?selectedColour=Gold

I know hotter is an old lady brand, but I don't think these look too bad and I can walk a fair way in them (at least I used to when holidays in European cities were a thing....)

Teva for me. They look cool and they are super comfortable. They sell them on ASOS

LondonStone · 17/06/2021 23:23

Another vote for Salt Water sandals.

I saw them on a friend in person and when I went to their website I had to ask her if I was looking at the same shoes! Their product photos look very old fashioned and frumpy imo. But they’re lovely shoes in real life, they really haven’t done them justice on their website.

Definitely Birkenstocks!

BogRollBOGOF · 17/06/2021 23:29

Birkenstocks in funky colours. Classic.

I used to wear walking sandals until my arches struggled with the lack of support post-natally.

StillMedusa · 18/06/2021 00:00

Skechers for me. I don't wear anything else these days. I'm on my feet all day and have a variety.. the deck shoes style (Go walk Lite I think) for cooler days, sandles for others, and wedges if I need to look a bit more dressed up!

Tried Birkenstocks but they absolutely hurt my arches!

AndeanMountainCat · 18/06/2021 12:16

I love my salt-waters!

I’ve also got some ancient Tevas, which are super comfy.

Plus both are suitable for paddling!

JuneFromBethesda · 18/06/2021 12:26

I’ve just bought my second pair of these:

www.clarks.co.uk/c/Manilla-Bonita/p/26115619

My first pair are still going strong despite being worn solidly for three or four summers. They are incredibly comfortable, I could walk for hours without any problems.

Flyinggeese1 · 18/06/2021 12:34

Hi what does support mean in relation to sandals?

I like the saltwater ones on here but can’t see what support could mean, they’re quite flat and strappy.

Flyinggeese1 · 18/06/2021 12:35

I ask because so many sandal recommendation posts mention ‘support’ and I have no idea what is meant.

WellTidy · 18/06/2021 12:39

The Manila Bonita sandals from Clarks, mentioned a few posts back are amazing

Moshulu have very comfortable sandals. They’re all comfortable, just choose the style that you like best. I like the wasabi ones

The normal saltwaters are incredibly flat, with thin, hard soles (for me) but the boardwalk ones, mentioned in the early replies are fantastic. I don’t like that the sole is cream though, it makes them look a bit too ‘older lady’ for me right now, but they do look super comfortable
