Half-human half-fruit.

We are in our 90s and split our time between central London and a town just outside. We have an interesting, varied job meeting lots of people. Family dynamics are a little challenging.

Middle aged, adult dc, got the week off to do some gardening. I dream of it cooling down a bit so I don't get so hot while I'm out there working today.

Frownette · 16/06/2021 08:44

It's not the royal we, is it?

notacooldad · 16/06/2021 08:46

I'm very similar to Bagpuss
"saggy, old cloth cat, baggy, and a bit loose at the seams"
Except I'm not made of cloth.
Nor am I a cat but I am saggy and baggy, sadly for me.

Do you have a lovely garden?

Mine still needs work, I don't have a clue what I'm doing! My partner planted strawberries last year and they have revived this year (last time I checked) and we have roses on the front of our house which I did not plant but they have survived with us the past 4 years so leaving them to it, for the most part, was possibly the right thing to do? They smell amazing

Good luck with your garden, hopefully it won't be too hot if you avoid the middle of the day and indulge in a long lunch break

That doesn't sound like the most flattering description

I'm a bit saggy too though tbf

I’m 41, work in admin, two children, one of whom is disabled. Slowly but surely losing my good looks, and my patience is wearing thinner by the day. My arse is unfortunately going in the opposite manner. I enjoy painting and walking. I’m a hoot 😏

BrownEyedGirl80 · 16/06/2021 09:07

As my user name suggests I'm 41 with brown eyes Wink

Warmhandscoldheart · 16/06/2021 09:13

I'm 49, female and live by the sea in the South East with my DP of 20 yrs and our teenage daughter.

I work in health care as a receptionist full time although I'm off this week Smile. Beautiful weather today but thunderstorms looming apparently Sad

Congratulations on your baby OP.

I enjoy walking as well, even when it's wet and miserable it always cheers me up!

I used to love drawing and painting as a teenager but stopped. I don't actually have any hobbies come to think of it

Have you always painted?

Sounds very beautiful and extra hot! I'm in Yorkshire, I don't live by the sea but I'm only a 30 minute drive away so not too far.

How do you feel about tourists? I used work in an estate agent in a small town by the sea up until a couple of years ago and every summer the traffic would get mental and there would be zero parking. I'd go out on a viewing and come back then spend 20 minutes driving around looking for a parking spot!

I've visited Brighton a couple of times (LOVE) and my DP's parents live within an hour of there in a town. They always seem to complain that it's too hot in the summer so I guess what they say about the south being warmer than the north is probably true 🤔

59 live in the SW with lovely DH and DS 2 who came home a year after leaving uni and after 6 months of travel, he wfh and is a delight. DS 1 lives ‘oop north’ DH and i both retired, big travellers in normal times and looking forward to resuming this when the world recovers. Loving life despite the virus, eat too much, drink too much and struggle with laziness and losing weight 😟 me that is not DH who is a human powerhouse walking cycling and running.

Yeah it’s always been my favourite pastime since childhood, but I never had the time when my son was little, but I’ve picked it back up in lockdown and I’m loving it 😊
Luckily my son enjoys walking too so I didn’t have to drop all my hobbies 😂

ComtesseDeSpair · 16/06/2021 09:52

I’m mid-30s, a senior civil servant working in legal and governance, and I live in a south London suburb with my fiancé and our backyard ducks. I like running, reading, lifting weights and wild parties at nightclubs. I’m pretty much always cheerful; I love who I am, my life, everyone in it, and there’s pretty much nothing I’d change about any of it.

Livebythecoast · 16/06/2021 09:57

We don't mind the tourists - we know where the secluded beaches are that tourists don't 😉

Traffic can be a bit of a nightmare when I travel to work (20 minutes down the coast) but it's not too bad. We consider ourselves lucky living by the sea and can't imagine living anywhere else Smile

Mammymar · 16/06/2021 10:05

I'm 40, happily married to my DH . I'm a SAHM to three DC. I live in Dublin. I have a degree in law but don't practice anymore. I like walking, reading and swimming. We travel a lot as a family and have a home in Spain.

Congratulations on your baby op Smile

Nearly 50 and a bit concerned.. I asked someone what her 50th felt like. She said it was like reaching mid way of a 2 week holiday and realising it's nearly over..
Shock
Not sure how I feel about that.
And after tomorrow I will have a dc who is 32!!
