Help! Lump on vulva can't walk!

poorfanjo · 12/06/2021 12:17

Yes I've name changed. My Fanjo is on fire. I have a £2 coin size lump on the outer lip but on the inside and it's near the top. I've had a look and it's so angry, it has a massive head on it, I can't walk or sit down without nearly crying.

Do I have a hot bath and get a sterile needle from my work kit and pop it? (Nurse) or will I likely pass out from the pain? I've never experienced anything like this before! It's so sore.

Fucking typical isn't it? First date night in over a year and I get a fanny abscess. Hmm

I get these! I take high dose vit c and it keeps them at bay.

It’s when I’m run down.

Beautiful3 · 13/06/2021 17:41

I've had one of these before. I know it's painful. It will go away in a few days. A warm salt bath will help.

2brokegirls · 13/06/2021 21:33

I get these when I'm run down ... A cotton pad soaked in tea tree oil with turmeric and coconut oil ... Place under a warm hot water bottle ... Almost instant reductions and burst the next day

@NeedWineNow out of hours

Sounds like it could definitely be Hidradenitis Supparativa. For whatever reason, doctors are absolutely rubbish at diagnosing it. If it happens again OP I'd ask for some topical antibiotic cream which should help.

It's the noise you make when your cyst pops Grin

Next time (should you be like me and get them more than once), make sure you get it all out not just the juicy stuff.

It has to be at exactly the right point to pop and clear out successfully so suggestions of mag sulph paste are very helpful. I don't bother with it these days as I discovered electrolysed water/hypochlorous acid (Dew products, Vital Baby Aquaint etc.) and Alpha H Liquid Gold.

My method for the buggers these days is to clean with the water then dab with Liquid Gold several times a day until it gets to popping point (normally yellow head on top of raised purple lump, hurts like hell) scrape or pierce the head (the skin should give really easily by now) then squeeze as much as possible from underneath the whole lot rather than just the yellow bit.

The biggest 'root' I've had was the size of the eraser on a pencil and the amount of greeny-yellow pus prolific.

Hurts like hell but the relief and satisfaction... orgasmic!

Glad it is sorted now. I get these, horrendous pain. Last one I had was massive. I kept up the hot baths with the Epsom salts and called the Doc for some antibiotics. Got them without a consultation due to Covid.
Ended up coming to a head when I was in a hot bath, squeezed it and oh god the instant relief!
Flowers for you.

Rememberallball · 14/06/2021 03:20

@SticksAndStoned, surely OOH is the sound when you find the ‘head’ and, when you burst it, it becomes AHH😝

Lucifersladylove · 14/06/2021 04:10

@Yellowbrickrobe

You don’t need ooh or minor injuries. Hot bath, needle, pop it. If it’s got a head on it will pop easily. If it’s starts to look infected THEN you need to get some antibiotics but not until that point.
It’s not that simple with a bartholin abscess. I ended up in hospital for a week with one.
Ophanim · 14/06/2021 05:06

I'm glad you're feeling better and I hoped it's gone for good.

But clam packet Grin

This is quite embarrassing but when I was a teenager, I once had a huge, painful, uncomfortable lump on my labia. It was there for a few days and I literally couldn't function because of it. I eventually realised that a hair had wrapped itself around my labia and was constricting the blood flow, I was crying tears of agony as I unwrapped it because it was so bloody painful.

Have had the cysts as well, bloody horrendous things.

Brute you should write books Grin
