I just spent 25 mins stirring a risotto and Fitbit thought I'd walked 3 miles.

Stupid Fitbit. Behave yourself.

Even if you were walking, you would have had to go at a cracking pace to do 3 miles in 25 mins!

DriedIris · 07/06/2021 18:20

I assume it thinks 1 stir = 1 step/arm swing. Grin

You'll be able to justify an extra large serving after all that exercise Grin

Northernsoullover · 07/06/2021 18:24

What arm do you wear it on?

ElaborateSalad · 07/06/2021 18:24

Brilliant

CherieBabySpliffUp · 07/06/2021 18:25

Isn't your Fitbit meant to go on your non-dominant wrist?

Flaunch · 07/06/2021 18:25

Crochet is great for getting those steps in too 😂

Ostara212 · 07/06/2021 18:26

That's how they work.

I would no way be able to stir risotto or anything for 25 mins!

SionnachRua · 07/06/2021 18:26

Risottos are bloody hard work, I'd take a 3 mile walk any day Grin

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep · 07/06/2021 18:28

That's why you wear them on your non dominant wrist!

LynetteScavo · 07/06/2021 18:28

This is why I hate making risotto- they're blood hard work. I'd rather go for a five mile walk.

Brazilianut · 07/06/2021 18:28

Fitbits can be so useless 😂

gollymissdolly · 07/06/2021 18:29

I did some ironing and my Fitbit logged it as an activity.Apparently I swam 21 lengths of a 20m pool🤔.I wear my Fitbit on my non dominant arm.

Where I live our medical insurance companies offer incentives for living well, you can get good points if you submit your fitbit steps each month. My friend had a very energetic boxer dog and she attaches her fitbit to him. He does a months of steps in a day Smile

I will let her know about the risotto option as well...

So would I. Then we can return to slow cooker risotto. Sorted.

I get that when polishing ceramics. But then I feel the sweat running down my back even though I'm in an air-conditioned lab so its maybe not too inaccurate.

BeeyatchPlease · 07/06/2021 18:34

I was sitting on sofa watching a film last night and Fitbit said I went to bed at 8pm!!! I was clearly verrrry relaxed.

SquishySquirmy · 07/06/2021 18:35

How vigorously do you stir your risotto?
Grin
(I'm imagining bits of par cooked rice on the ceiling!)

SnugglySnerd · 07/06/2021 18:37

Knitting, grating cheese and playing the guitar usually rack up quite a few steps too!

D0D0 · 07/06/2021 18:37

That's why have an Instant Pot. Can't be doing with stirring a risotto.

BeachWaves2 · 07/06/2021 18:37

I managed over 3000 step putting my make up on this morning 😂😂
I wish

Knitting and guitar, I get. But how much cheese?!
SamusIsAGirl · 07/06/2021 18:41

You can adjust the sensitivity in the app
