@Meha5a - I try to be strict re hours. When I started I decided to do the same hours as if I still worked in the hospital plus some travelling time as I knew I would not earn the same as a grade 4 Consultant's PA. I am not retired yet, nor can afford to be. Although I do not get up as early as I used to do, and travelling I was often home much later than 6pm. Housework was always done at the weekend when I worked at the hospital. However, I went through a phase of sleeping badly and then oversleeping, which would have been a nightmare at the hospital, but not so much now. At the moment I am watching lots of the Olympics both day and night time but I have earned enough this month to cover my bills plus some extra so I can relax and take it easy. When the weather is nice I do sit in the garden but then type a bit in the evening. I think working from home you do have to maintain some structure/discipline, and I do have a regular lunch break. One of my sister's some years ago worked from home, but always seemed to be out shopping and in the end her bosses said she had to work from the office instead....
@Chrissols @Februarycat - I am only stating what my contract I signed says. Most of the online companies now require typists to commit to a set number of hours or work volume. Wetype not only stipulate the number of hours but also times ie 9am -1pm. There was another company that said typists needed to type a minimum of 90 hours audio a week. People looking for typing work need to be aware of these stipulations and be ready to agree to them or not, esp if the rules and regulations on zero hours contracts might be changed by law in the future, as is likely.
