Are most actresses very very slim in real life?

I saw a well known actress a few days ago, standing behind her in the queue for a coffee. She was dressed down, however was clearly very pretty in person. However I was taken aback by how slim she was. I would say she was slightly taller than average, not a tiny person if you know what I mean. But so so slim. Do you think most famous actresses/singers etc are like this? Maybe I’m very naive.

It is scary that young girls see this. There are so many teens today who are so tiny and always on diets. Doesn't help that some staff are the same! The majority of teens at my school want to be a Jenner or a Kardashion figure-wise. This is doing the rounds about Kendall Jenner having the prefect body - lots of girls talking about how they wish they could be like her in this photo. Whilst she is stunning her body is not achievable for many!

That thong looks like an eyepatch. Or a slingshot.

I saw Girls Aloud just as they became famous - around 2002 - so before they got really really thin and they were all so thin apart from the blonde one who just looked like a normal slim person.

Cheryl Tweedy looked like an egg timer, her waist was so tiny!

I've also seen K Middy in real life - 7 months after she'd had George - and she was super thin.

I've also seen Victoria Beckham, again in 2002. But Cheryl was thinner.

It's not just that they're slim, they also tend to have tiny frames, too. Even the taller ones tend to have relatively narrow shoulders and narrow hips. (And what my great-aunt used to call "delicate wrists," which always gave me the giggles when I was young.) I know a couple well and a few more generally, and it's startling in person.

There's more variation in stage actresses (particularly those who really are stage actresses and who do less filming work).

I don't think that body is achievable even for Kendall Jenner, tbh.

Yes to the lollipop analogy. My DP worked at a celeb party - pop star's birthday - and came back amazed, said it was like being in a room full of human lollipops.

The teeniest of the lot, but perfectly proportioned, is Kylie.

Years ago I saw Anneka Rice in a well known London store. It was during the height of her 'Challenge Anneka' fame. In this show, she was always shown running with a TV camera following her. On the show her legs and bottom looked rounded, IRL her thighs looked hollowed out and her bottom like a tiny child's. The camera really does add pounds....

Yes I have seen famous women in real life who had the lollipop look. It is because they are far too thin so their head looks too big for their body.

I met Princess Anne IRL, she was much shorter than I'd expected and also very, very slim.

I met amber benson once and remember how slim she was. I was shocked. When she is the ‘curvy’ one in buffy to see her that slim made me wonder how tiny the other ladies are

My sister once met the 'curvy one' from Girls Aloud. Was it Kimberly? She was clesrly bigger than Cheryl and the Irish one. Anyway, my sister is a tiny size 8 and this one from Girls Aloud was thinner than her.

I worked with Girls Aloud back In the day. Kimberley was by far the nicest. She is very slim, size 8 at most. Cheryl has the body of a pre pubescent boy and is cough less friendly. I’ve worked with Little Mix aswell and Jesy (who was the fat one allegedly) is no more than a size 8 also. No wonder so many girls have issues with their weight when this is the narrative the press feed them.

I’ve seen costumes of Helena Binham Carter’s and I was surprised at how teeny tiny they were. Made me feel like the jolly green giant! 😂

I saw those gold hot pants at an exhibition. They were like knickers for a doll they were so small.

I've been to an exhibition of Kylie's stage costumes. They are teeny! I'm an 8-10 and I doubt I'd even get them on.

I saw June Sarpong in London about 20 years ago and she had the thinnest legs I’ve ever seen on a human. She cannot have weighed more than about 6 stone.

I’ve worked with quite a lot of actresses/musicians and agree with everyone,tiny in real life!

The ones that shocked me the most were Thandie Newton..... SO thin and Alesha Dixon who had the longest legs I’ve ever seen.

I was at a wedding where one of the guests was a Hollywood actress. She looked beautiful and was actually extremely nice but no one wanted to stand anywhere near her because she made even the slimmest guests look enormous. As in real 'Dougal, this is tiny and this is far away' perspective-boggling enormous.

I saw Pippa Middleton speak at an event and she is tiny, so thin. There was an audible gasp as she went up on stage it was a bit shocking. My friends and I probably eat too much though 😀

I was behind Ellie and Izzie off Gogglebox in the queue at Aldi once and I was shocked at how tiny they were.
