Are most actresses very very slim in real life?

I saw a well known actress a few days ago, standing behind her in the queue for a coffee. She was dressed down, however was clearly very pretty in person. However I was taken aback by how slim she was. I would say she was slightly taller than average, not a tiny person if you know what I mean. But so so slim. Do you think most famous actresses/singers etc are like this? Maybe I’m very naive.

I'm pretty sure the sleep cure from Valley of the Dolls is fictional. I've googled the heck out of it. If it's possible to be put to sleep to lose weight, why isn't it known about?

It’s just fasting, isn’t it? If you’re asleep, you’re not eating. AKA - fasting.

You’re not going to ‘lose weight’ per se - it’s for such a relatively short space of time.

But I can see how people who are obsessed with this sort of thing, and the way they’re going to look in front of a big crowd and a load of cameras - broadcasting to 100s of 1000s, and adding the obligatory 10 pounds, the idea of fasting in the immediate lead-up to the event might be tempting.

Just seen Julie Bradbury in the Mail. Thin but fine in clothes. Not great without. Not in a “how sexy is this woman way” but a really not well sort of way.

She’s alive and doing well. I guess we shouldn’t judge anymore including the 30 stone woman who’s well and succeeding.

I walked into my hairdressers at the same time as Liz Hurley (about 10 years ago). She’s got a stunning figure in photos, womanly, curvy, yet slim. In person, she was really very very thin!! And she wore her sunglasses inside, which just was a bit odd 😆

Reminds me of the time I bumped into Felicity Kendal shopping in Waitrose in King's Road (and not the first time I'd seen her food shopping!). What caught my eye was the fact she was wearing sunglasses inside. I otherwise wouldn't have taken a second glance.

I used see Helena Bonham Carter around quite often as we lived near her. The last time I remember seeing her she was sort of meandering along the street singing to herself.

She was very petite but not "tiny" or scarily thin.

HB-C is half Spanish though (and the Spanish are generally smaller and much leaner than Brits), so not really a surprising that she's petite.

I saw Amanda Holden a few years ago and she is tiny. Short with a tiny frame. Made us all look like giants. I did a double take actually

I thought Amanda Holden was average height. Around 5'4.
