Me...by the end of this year I will be divorced...DH has no idea!

OP posts:
RicherThanYew · 06/06/2021 11:35

@bearfood I asked my husband if he thought it was regression but he pointed out that I've always had a "childish" streak, it's just the losses that seems to have really made it more prominent. I will look up the cry babies thank you!

TheFutureIsUncertain · 06/06/2021 11:40

Though happily married, I've often fantasized about my BIL. He is in 50s, balding highly educated tech geek (not at all like my DH). But he is always helpful to everyone, always makes time for people, easy to talk to, kind and considerate. He's just an easy person to be spend time with. Plus he must be a bit of saint sometimes to put up with my DSis!

RantyAnty · 06/06/2021 11:47

I paid a judge to get a relative out of trouble.

I think I might have shagged a Dave back in school.

LadyLolaRuben · 06/06/2021 11:51

Thank you! You're the first person to respond and I really needed the supportive and encouraging comment, means the world to me xx

EmbarrassingAdmissions · 06/06/2021 11:51

I paid a judge to get a relative out of trouble.

Can you say which country? Was it known this judge was amenable to inducements? Who told you, if so?

zingally · 06/06/2021 11:51

I rent a pokey little flat, in a not-great location, and drive an old well-scratched car.

I have over £100,000 in savings.

I could completely change my way of living, and have a lovely house somewhere... But I'm comfortable as I am.

EmbarrassingAdmissions · 06/06/2021 11:55

@NameChangeHidding

When dc1 was a baby, I often fantasised putting a pillow over his head :(

Before anyone worries, dc1 is now 18yo and I never did anything that could have hurt him, not even leaving him to cry.

That's probably more common than you think so I hope you've never thought you're unique or particularly shocking.

(In my family, in a previous generation, let's just say that this went from thought to an interrupted attempt but that's probably very rare - and it involved under-recognised PTSD and PND.)

LadyLolaRuben · 06/06/2021 11:59

Sorry that was for talkasyouwalk

MotherOfAllZipFiles · 06/06/2021 12:08

In the midst of severe PND, which everyone dismissed as me "attention seeking"
My partner took care of my son, while i went "shopping"
In reality i went to sit at the local train station, make of that what you will
It was only then i was taken seriously
I have never felt such darkness, i wouldn't wish it on anyone

whyareallthegoodnamestakenx · 06/06/2021 12:10

After 13 years in a happy relationship, I reliezed I should of come as bi sexual a long time ago and gone down the route of finding a girlfriend.

I love my DH though and won't leave him. What he doesn't know, won't hurt him. Smile

CarpeVitam · 06/06/2021 12:24

@PortugirlTES

Thank you. I have never told a soul about this and kind words from strangers mean the world.
Have you considered counselling/therapy @PortugirlTES to help you process this? Sending hugs 🤗 x

@Wide

I brought a small vibrator from the pound shop, seriously it does the trick!! Over the years I sometimes can cum upto 15 times by myself or after sex but I am there for about 45 mins, one after another
The pound shop sells vibrators??
HeartsAndClubs · 06/06/2021 12:41

I have been in love with someone for 10 years. But he doesn’t know and I’m certain he doesn’t feel the same about me.

We are both in relationships and it’s something we’ve never even discussed nor ever will discuss.

DoLallyTapMum · 06/06/2021 12:42

I suppose officially speaking I’m the only person who knows my son’s father’s full name. He was abusive and I left in the first trimester for mine and my son’s safety. My DS isn’t old enough to have asked about him yet and when he does I don’t intend to tell him his surname, not until he is old enough to know as much as possible and I can be sure he’s not going to be in any danger from him (so possibly never but most likely once my son is in his 20s, emotionally stable and the 6ft strapping man I expect he is going to become).

DoLallyTapMum · 06/06/2021 12:43

P.s. my family were told his full name but have memories like sieves and we were only together less than a year.

Suki2 · 06/06/2021 12:47

As a teenager I got caught shoplifting and received a caution. The caution has stopped me from doing so many things... training as a teacher, volunteering with Brownies and now thirty years later it's stopping me from volunteering in places I'd like to volunteer eg in a hospice.
I do sometimes wonder why I needed to be punished so much for what was a childish one off incident.

Wide · 06/06/2021 12:49

@museumsandgalleries666 yes little pocket ones! Same as ann summers ones, you have to screw off the top to get it to work think theres abit of paper in it, then screw back on

JuliasTheme · 06/06/2021 12:51

When I’m stressed I go to the nearest supermarket and buy a packet of 2 cream cakes and I eat them all to myself on the way home

Dullardmullard · 06/06/2021 12:54

Why is it in savings ?

Do you spend some of it or just save it?

That isn’t true as the caution will be spend now and it’s a child one to boot.
greenalltheway · 06/06/2021 12:57

@Suki2 as above, I also don't believe this to be correct if you are in the UK.
That caution is unlikely to be on any dbs check.

butitsatalkingdog · 06/06/2021 12:57

I have an eating disorder.

DinosaurDiana · 06/06/2021 12:59

I love my dog more than my kids. Sorry.

EmbarrassingAdmissions · 06/06/2021 13:00

I do sometimes wonder why I needed to be punished so much for what was a childish one off incident.

It would be worth your while talking to a volunteer organisation about this and likewise what it would take to have this removed from even an enhanced DBS (tbh, I'm surprised at what can be removed at times).

The rules as to when a conviction or caution will be filtered are set out in legislation. This states that a certificate must include the following:

cautions relating to an offence from a list agreed by Parliament (see below)
cautions given less than 6 years ago (where individual 18 or over at the time of caution)
cautions given less than 2 years ago (where individual under 18 at the time of caution)
convictions relating to an offence from a prescribed list (see below)
where the individual has more than one conviction offence all convictions will be included on the certificate (no conviction will be filtered)
convictions that resulted in a custodial sentence (regardless of whether served)
convictions which did not result in a custodial sentence, given less than 11 years ago (where individual 18 or over at the time of conviction)
convictions which did not result in a custodial sentence, given less than 5.5 years ago (where individual under 18 at the time of conviction)
For a list of offences which will never be removed please visit the DBS website:

www.gov.uk/government/publications/dbs-list-of-offences-that-will-never-be-filtered-from-a-criminal-record-check
For help with removing information from a DBS Certificate please contact the Disclosure and Barring Service on 0300 0200190 to raise a dispute within 3 months of your certificate being issued. Alternatively, you can contact Unlock or NACRO who both can give advice to individuals.
