Just curious.

OP posts:
Ligglepiggle · 01/06/2021 19:34

£100

WhereTheWildlingsLive · 01/06/2021 19:34

I don't know as my guys are still tiny! 😂 £100? Is it towards something?

skippy67 · 01/06/2021 19:35

£100.

Whysotired · 01/06/2021 19:35

Probs around £100

CatCup · 01/06/2021 19:35

Around £100

bonfireheart · 01/06/2021 19:37

I would say £100.
DD turned 13 last week and just the trainers she wanted cost £70! I tell you it's a shock how much kids things cost.

Lockdownlifting12344555 · 01/06/2021 19:37

100-150 for aged 15… as trainers would be around the 130 mark at least 🤣🤣

footprintsintheslow · 01/06/2021 19:38

£100

MayIDestroyYou · 01/06/2021 19:38

Surely it depends on the amounts of money he generally has access to - from you and anyone else. Also on what he wants to do with it. (Have you asked him?)

Pinuporc · 01/06/2021 19:38

Maybe £150
I'm glad there are suggestions of £100.
I always feel really stingy on the "how much are you spending at christmas" threads!
And lots of posters appear to think having teens means you automatically have a bigger budget!

OldTinHat · 01/06/2021 19:39

Another one saying £100.

Ilovemaisie · 01/06/2021 19:39

How much would you spend on a gift normally? I'd give that if it's £50 or so. If you normally spend more I would give £50 cash and the rest in a bank account if you think he would fritter it.

ZenNudist · 01/06/2021 19:39

£100

Andi2020 · 01/06/2021 19:39

What you can afford

PASStheCAKEandCHOC · 01/06/2021 19:39

I did £200 And a few bits to open as would feel wrong otherwise. Just bits like, phone chargers ( he breaks too many) sweets, a funky mug etc.
I would do more but I have 2 of my kids birthdays the same day.
Plus the cakes are always in region of £70
Meal out (well lockdown this year meant just a take away so was cheaper thankfully)
But if I don't have it they have less. But we do save for Xmas and birthdays.

RedPillowcase · 01/06/2021 19:41

£100 if that's all he'd like. I'd buy some inexpensive things so he had something to open.

If he wanted money as well as other things then it'd be £50.

CornishGem1975 · 01/06/2021 19:46

I gave him £100 recently and bought a few other things to open (mainly clothes, that I would have bought anyway) and chocolate etc.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 01/06/2021 19:47

Whatever I would usually spend on presents

Mydarlingmyhamburger · 01/06/2021 19:48

Depends if I was also spending money on some sort of party or day put. Probably £200-£250

MyDcAreMarvel · 01/06/2021 19:50

Totally budget would be £250 so depends how much was sent on party/activity etc .

MyDcAreMarvel · 01/06/2021 19:50

*total

elliejjtiny · 01/06/2021 19:51

Probably about £50 as that's how much we are going to spend on ds (15 next month) birthday presents. Feel a bit stingy now though.

Christinayangtwistedsister · 01/06/2021 19:52

Probably a few hundred

colouringcrayons · 01/06/2021 19:53

We never did cash as gifts, they get plenty from other relatives and can ask for cash if they need it for something anyway.

What do they want the cash for do you think?

I am maybe a bit suspicious as I was not a model teenager!

SavageBeauty73 · 01/06/2021 19:54

£100
