There’s not a lot a teen can get with £50 these days. We’ve been looking for basic tracksuit bottoms for my son and even standard Nike ones seem to be about £40, I’m sure it isn’t so long ago you could get them for around £20 a pair!
Trainers are over £100 a pair.
I don't expect my teen to use birthday money to buy clothing, I buy him what he needs. If they do want to spend birthday money on expensive branded clothing then that's their choice, I wouldn't give more just because a teen has expensive tastes. They can save pocket money, money from grandparents and so on to save up for what they want.
