Swim robe / dressing gown with cat design? Does it exist?!

DD is obsessed with cats. She starts back at swimming lessons next week (wohoo!) and I need a towelling dressing gown, or a swim poncho / swim robe for her, as they can't get changed in the pool yet.

DD has asked for one with a cat on. Sure, I said, I didn't think it'd be that hard! But cats aren't in, it would appear. Unicorns, sloths, pugs, yes. Cats? No.

Can anyone help? A cat design would be great, or a cat ears - or as a back up, leopard print maybe.

She's tall for her age, she fits size 10-11 clothes - but she's only 8, so still likes designs for kids.

Does anyone have any tips on where to look? Thanks :)

(It need to be in the UK so I can get it delivered in time. There are a bunch on Amazon but they're from China).

That one would be great - only it's too small, she's in 10-11. A fair bit of her 9-10 stuff is too small for her now.

Key kids cat dressing gown into Google. Comes up with loads if you can order in next couple of hours you may get it tomorrow.

I think this is part of the problem, she likes stuff that's designed for her age, only she doesn't fit it, she's in clothes designed for kids 3 years older than her.

We have similar problems getting leggings. She likes bright leggings with designs (and cats, of course!) but the nicer ones stop at age 7, and those that are bigger often don't go up to 10-11. (H&M often come up trumps for leggings - cat ones too, recently!)

Are you at all crafty? Maybe a plain white and you add a cat patch or design to the pocket?

If it really doesn't exist, maybe I could get iron-on applique design of a cat and just stick it on!

Can you iron applique patches on to towelling?! I'm clueless about this sort of thing and I'm thinking possibly not?

I don’t think iron on would work well on towelling.

In your shoes I would buy a towelling gown and then sew on some cat pictures, just buy cat fabric and stitch around it.

Iron on wouldn’t work on towelling, but you get embroidered badges that would be easy to sew on. I’ve been search for ages now, never thought it would be so impossible

I think cats just aren't the "in" thing at the moment - it's all sodding unicorns and llamas. (I quite like llamas I guess, but reached my fill of unicorns quite some time ago!)

I'm so not keen on the blamanche pink number (my least favourite colour!) but the idea is a perfect backup - or puuurfect even (Sorry-not-sorry ) if I can't find anything with a cat on it.

I bet there are customisable robes on Etsy or Not on the High Street.
