I mean, this isn't your odd uncle, with his trying peculiarities.
He's the Prime Minister, who runs the country - during a pandemic.
Cummings' testimony painted a picture of organisational chaos, with an absent, lazy man at the heart of that.
Indeed, Cummings' testimony was aimed at demonstrating that Johnson facilitated that chaos, in order to further his own importance and hold on power-through-populism.
And, lastly, Cummings' repeatedly stated the direct result of that (dis-) organisational structure was tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths.
And here we go again. A populist, domestic spectacle that has clearly been prioritised over the continued need to deal with other matters.
Any need to deal with issues such as the continued problems of the pandemic are downgraded, minimised. Met with a wave of the hand and a hope the NHS vaccine roll-out will sort it all out.
And a spectacle.
Ridiculous, lazy governing.
