Genuine question. Is that how it is done now ?

I receive my payslips via e-mail when they even fancy sending them. They don't bother half the time!

magicstar1 · 26/05/2021 23:45

We get ours by email, but password protected.

MrsFin · 26/05/2021 23:47

Mine are just put online, on the company intranet. It's up to us if we want to download them.

TrashPanda · 26/05/2021 23:48

We get ours by email now. They used to be printed and available to collect from office reception, they only ever posted them to people on mat leave or sick leave who weren't able to come and collect them. Since the office had been mostly closed they have all been by email, sending every single one by post would cost a fortune I guess.

Bargebill19 · 26/05/2021 23:49

Been common for a few years.

That sort of system came in three or four years ago at my last place of work (a LA)
OppsUpsSide · 26/05/2021 23:49

Yes

bizzey · 26/05/2021 23:59

Thank you so much for your replys .
I am so out of the loop!
My ds (18) has just started working and i kept telling him how important it was to keep his " green perforated " pay slips safe !

Same. Haven’t had a paper payslip in at least five years.
bizzey · 27/05/2021 00:07

I feel so stupid !
Do you just save them on your email ?

bizzey · 27/05/2021 00:09

My last pay check was 20 years ago !

EmmaGrundyForPM · 27/05/2021 00:10

Mine are on the intranet. I've never bothered downloading them and saving them to my email because if I left my job I'd have no access to my email.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 27/05/2021 00:12

Make sure he has them sent to his personal email rather than a work email. Printing them for the first 2 years wouldn't hurt.

pastabest · 27/05/2021 00:12

I've not had a paper payslip since at least 2013 and two different employers

We don't get them via email though, we just download them from the staff intranet if we want them.

bizzey · 27/05/2021 00:14

So how do you have proof of income if you dont ssve them ?

OP posts:
80sballetgirl · 27/05/2021 00:15

Via email, password protected. I send to my personal email & save in a folder.

KeyboardWorriers · 27/05/2021 00:16

Ours are just online. When I needed them for a mortgage application I just printed them off

Yubaba · 27/05/2021 00:17

Mine is on the company intranet, I’ve not had a paper wage slip for 5 years, my P60 is on there too.

Ostara212 · 27/05/2021 00:19

Yes, I print them out every month. OP I would advise your son to do that.
BashfulClam · 27/05/2021 01:04

Yep either online or e-Mail. I miss the physical slips. What do you meant by ‘green’ my perforated ones have always been grey or blue?

Lizzie523 · 27/05/2021 01:07

We've been getting them online since covid. Also password protected.

chatw0o0 · 27/05/2021 01:11

I receive mine by email and save the attachment onto my personal laptop.

Prior to that, I had to go into a intranet portal and just did the same thing.

Haven't received paper pay slips for 5-6 years now.

Rockbird · 27/05/2021 01:13

Through a portal, all the payslips are there with my P60s and a P45 so I can download them if I want.

FakeFruitShoot · 27/05/2021 03:43

Mine is on an online SAGEPAY portal.

When we applied for a mortgage we both just downloaded PDF copies and emailed them to the bank

Agree have never seen a green one, my dad's were blue and mine and DH's were black, although I worked for a small family-owned Business once where they were just printouts on white paper - still accepted for maternity allowance application!

mindutopia · 27/05/2021 05:55

I used to get mine via email a few years ago, now just on employee portal and I could download them if needed. HR also has them in file.

Except when I applied for permanent residency in the UK and when I applied for a mortgage, I’ve never needed proof of my income.
