He was so lovely and didn’t seem shy as me and my kids watched him through the window!

Do any wildlife experts know.. rabbit, or young hare?

I think it might be a hare.

Susannahmoody · 21/05/2021 19:55

Oh wow! He's gorgeous and you're lucky to see one so close.

ExJasper · 21/05/2021 19:57

I think hare too - long ears and looks bigger than a rabbit. Not that I know anything about hares and rabbits! Whichever, he's very handsome :)

nocoolnamesleft · 21/05/2021 19:58

Another vote for hare.

mrwalkensir · 21/05/2021 19:58

here hare here

Stickytreacle · 21/05/2021 19:59

Hare, lucky you!

Grizlelly · 21/05/2021 20:00

I'm now wondering where you are because me and dc have just been at the window looking at a very similar rabbit in our garden Grin

Elouera · 21/05/2021 20:01

The ears and legs look too long for a rabbit- my vote is hare too.

UhtredRagnarson · 21/05/2021 20:02

For Mr Hare’s sake I hope you aren’t really a fox @CassTheFox Grin

TSBelliot · 21/05/2021 20:02

Oh lucky you. All hare - see the dark tips on the ears and those leggy legs. What a beauty. See so few where I live sadly.

CassTheFox · 21/05/2021 20:06

@UhtredRagnarson Grin

Thanks everyone. The only “wildlife” we usually see in our garden are overweight pigeons so was surprised and delighted to see him there! My 6 year old now wants to write a story about him for his teacher on Monday Smile

Didiusfalco · 21/05/2021 20:18

How lovely. What part of the country are you in?

SappysCurry · 21/05/2021 20:18

Definitely a hare, how lucky. I have seen two in my lifetime and that was out walking
Where in the country are you OP

SappysCurry · 21/05/2021 20:19

Awe he's so lovely 😍

Jocasta2018 · 21/05/2021 20:23

Beautiful!

Is it an urban or rural area? Obviously there are city foxes & city rats but I love the idea of city haresSmile!

ChasedByFox · 21/05/2021 20:26

He's beautiful!

toffeebutterpopcorn · 21/05/2021 20:27

Hare - longer ears and long back legs. I saw a foxy when I was walking though a housing estate the other day. He was sitting merrily in the middle of the lawn staring at everyone who walked by.

cheezy · 21/05/2021 20:28

oh wow I'm jealous. I LOVE hares but have only ever seen one..

Fuckitsstillraining · 21/05/2021 20:28

A hare. Have you new trees planted or new flowers? If you have the hare will eat them.
