For me, cooking. So sick of it and would be happy if I never had to do it again

Cleaning windows.

MadMadMadamMim · 21/05/2021 19:08

Cleaning the oven. Or the greasy top of the stove. I've got an AGA and it's all cast iron and black and horribly greasy. I've no idea what you're supposed to do with the bloody things.

I obviously rarely clean it, and it never really feels CLEAN.

36degrees · 21/05/2021 19:21

Hair removal. It's like the Forth Bridge around here.

Beamur · 21/05/2021 19:27

@Whatwouldnanado

The self perpetuating slag heap of futility that is Tidying Up. I seem to constantly by putting things back, away, upstairs, downstairs, in the dishwasher, bin, back of the car. But one day the kids will leave and I might miss doing it. Not.
Hell yes. And wiping up crumbs.
LipstickLou · 21/05/2021 19:33

Cleaning, full stop. Love cooking , driving shopping. OK in the bedroom too. Bloody hate cleaning. Ruins my nails. However I like ironing and polishing furniture.

leavingtime · 21/05/2021 19:41

Changing the bedclothes, especially the duvet cover. No matter what brand of duvet or duvet covers I buy the cover is always too big [lengthways and widthways] and the duvet doesn't sit neatly in it. Drives me mad.

LockdownCheeseToastie · 21/05/2021 19:56

I’ll cook if someone else does our dusting and cleans the oven.

LemonDrizzles · 21/05/2021 19:57

Laundry. Putting shout on the stains. Ironing. Putting it all all all away in the correct spot, marie kondo style. Doing the fabric softener balls. Including the mop head and all all all the bathroom towel sets.

Imissmoominmama · 21/05/2021 19:59

Weeding. I’d love to have a permanently beautiful cottage garden.

LadyCatStark · 21/05/2021 20:00

Cleaning the showers 100%!

3CCC · 21/05/2021 20:09

Changing the bed sheets & duvet

Or hoovering

It's a tough call

linerforlife · 21/05/2021 20:15

Stacking and unstacking the motherfucking dishwasher Confused

FlyingPandas · 21/05/2021 20:18

Cooking and planning meals. Honestly if I could give the DC a pill instead of a meal, I would.

Cooking saps the joy out of life and I am in awe of anyone who actually takes pleasure in it. I'd rather clean the loo.

battenburgwithtea · 21/05/2021 20:25

Exactly the same as me FlyingPandas I am mystified that anybody enjoys it, especially if they find it relaxing. There are a fair few of us on here who don't like cooking.

I would hoover, dust, all day long, even do ironing if I could get out of cooking and the accompanying meal planning

Cats flea drops and wormers. I'd be happy to cook and wash all day if I could dump this. Catching the blighters, doing the deed, their arrogant reproachful evil eye afterwards.

FindingMeno · 21/05/2021 22:04

Cleaning the kitchen. All of it. It's a thankless endless task but really important.

mygee · 21/05/2021 22:04

Laundry. The whole process though- washing, hanging it all to dry, ironing and putting it all away. Repeat!

H1978 · 21/05/2021 22:16

Definitely ironing for me

Laiste · 21/05/2021 22:18

CLEANING THE BATHROOM

I have put it in capitals because i hate it so much! Angry

I would pay someone to come in and just clean the bathrooms and loos. One day ...

FlatStanletta · 21/05/2021 22:18

I mean, pretty much all housework. I think I would have been well suited to live in Downton Abbey with no need to ever even think about how things were going to get clean, tidy or cooked.

But if I had to pick one:

Tidying. Specifically the Pile of Doom that accumulates on the breakfast bar no matter how often I clear it away. Also the toysplosion that is my living room.

MiniTheMinx · 21/05/2021 22:27

Cooking. I've been cooking for 21 years, every day. Well, I've had a few days off here and there. By the time I've cooked for everyone I am so sick of cooking smells I'm not hungry and often don't eat.

JackieWeaversZoomAc · 21/05/2021 22:39

Floors / hoovering, sweeping, mopping
Washing windows
Dishes
Dusting
Cleaning the bathroom

That's more than one.

I don't mind laundry & cooking. The rest I can do without.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 21/05/2021 22:56

@ChequerBoard

Bloody ironing - I hate it with a passion. But I also can't bear the look or feel of crumpled clothing so it is kind of self inflicted.

Come on tech companies - I'll be first in the queue to buy and ironing robot!

Cleaning, all of it!

daytrogen · 21/05/2021 23:02

Cooking, specifically having to plan meals
