Double space on your phone gets you a full stop, new sentence!

Was it just me that didn't know this?! Feels particularly useful on an iPhone where the full stop seems to be in a different page of the menu. Too excited about this!

But will it stop people doing ,this?

Works on my Motorola. I just assumed every one knew? And that it would be standard across Android/iPhones etc.

The two spaces after a full stop is an old typing thing anyway. It was how I learnt to type in my first job (office junior) many moons ago. Just makes it easier to read.

You weird lot. Why don't you have decent phones where the full stop is on the same screen as the letters? Mine is.

Shaking is where you type a text message or WhatsApp. And if you want to delete the whole lot, you shake your phone. It’ll come up with an option to delete all.

I had to switch this off when I got my phone as I'm so old I still automatically double space at the end of sentences. I have tried to stop because it looks seriously old fashioned now but just can't help it.

In fact I have turned off pretty well
all the keyboard tools as I find them so annoying, especially predictive text and autocorrect but I do like the space bar cursor movement feature.

Why is everyone focusing on the space bar for cursor movement? You can do it from anywhere on the keyboard. Just hold your thumb down.

I can’t- space bar only. Long press elsewhere brings up special characters.

Did you know that if you hold down the zero button, you get the ° as in 180°C sign?

The cursor only moves with the space bar on my phone (Iphone).

That’s amazing @choosername1234. I frequently rant about how all these gadgets are made for male hands, screenshooting definitely assumes big hands. I chose double tap, turns out there’s loads you can do with two or three taps!

I've got a small phone so screenshotting with buttons is fine but I can see it would be a problem with the bigger ones. DH is the only person I know with a big phone.
