A whole year and I've only just noticed that DH has a stunt work shirt

Generally he's been wearing a t-shirt and fleece but every now and then he has a video call with a client and wears a shirt. The stunt shirt hangs on a hanger on the handle of his wardrobe door. It gets worn for maybe 30 minutes at a time up to twice a week so lasts for two or three weeks before going in the laundry basket.

It's going to be a wrench for him going back to the office as he clearly dislikes work shirts, he runs straight upstairs after the call finishes to get back into his t-shirt and fleece.

A bit like me and shoes, I've barely worn shoes for a whole year and now they feel wrong.

Yep my DH also changes in to a shirt when he has a video call but he has a few different ones

I don't know how I didn't notice before, because when I asked him about it he said he's done it for the whole year. I clearly don't really LOOK at him.

It made me laugh when I was watching Staged and Michael Sheen said something to David Tennant about being welded into his hoody because he's always wearing it. My DH is now like that with his fleece, he wears it all the time, it's his comfort item. When it's being washed he has another, older, fleece that he wears temporarily.

I'm going to have to go back to wearing trousers rather than pj bottoms.

One of the doctors the BBC talks to in the early morning appears to have at least three stunt pineapples. I wonder if it's a sign she's a Mumsnetter?

Within my circles someone has even gone one step beyond the 'stunt work shirt' and cut up an old shirt so you can just throw it on like a cape over your pyjamas so you can instantly look smart for the camera without having to get dressed, and then whip it off afterwards.

DH has a zoom meeting hoodie.

He usually works from home or is on workshops and lecture tours, which of course can't happen now. He started to use zoom very successfully getting more people to participate and has to wear the zoom hoddie several times a week. It lives on a special clothes hanger outside of his wardrobe.

I have a stunt hoodie! I normally work in pjs but if I have a video call I stick on my hoodie. Going back to the office is going to be so hard. Shoes and clothes every single day!

I don't work but that is pure genius!

I have literally only worn trainers or had bare feet since Feb 2020. Putting on anything smarter will be like wearing heels for the first time as a teenager.
I also have a single top which I wear for Teams presentations. It too is worn for as long as needed then hung back up for next time.

I'm already back at work, and the first few weeks of having to wear a bra again were hellish. My boobs were so much happier living a free range life

When I was working from home last year I used to wear smart work type clothes on the days I was working as it put me in a better frame of mind. I didn't feel right in casual clothes.

The test of us think he never washes his clothes. Stunt stinker.

In that case I've got a stunt bra.

I have stunt scarves, necklace and jacket. They are on a peg in my office, and I frequently am wearing a jacket (which looks awful in RL as its a weird knitted fabric but looks amazing on camera) over sports clothes. The scarves cover up that I'm wearing a hoody nicely :-)

DH wears his shirt... and black tracky bottoms that are hard to pick out on zoom even if they do make it on to camera.

He so needs to go clothes shopping before returning to the office. You can't tell how worn it's all getring being remote.

I love this, and loving the shirt cape combo. Get that idea on Dragons Den.
I wonder if sales of pineapples will go up next week once we are allowed people inside our houses?

Don't blame him. I sat at my (home) desk in jeans today. I've had no reason to before now and just stick a nice top on with my leggings. Lasted ten minutes before I had to go and get changed.

My work skirts / jackets / shoes now look like torture.

I have a stunt pashmina, I do get dressed in casual clothes every day (school run to do) but the stunt pashmina comes out for zoom.

Mine has this too - a shirt under a V neck jumper that hangs on the back of his chair. So do I - a polo neck poncho that sits on the back of my chair. Pop that on, look smart. Ta da.

I have stunt make up which only comes out for Teams, Zoom and Flory meetings and interviews.

The stunt clothing is next level, though.
