The London election. Ive voted Labour all my life. Now I dont know.

OP posts:
MrsDThomas · 05/05/2021 12:10

Plaid Cymru. I live in a strong Plaid area and cant see it going any other way.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 05/05/2021 12:12

Plaid, although not normally the party I'd vote for because they don't really represent me but with the growing support for Welsh independence I want to give them my endorsement

emmathedilemma · 05/05/2021 12:15

I voted labour because they've got the most chance of keeping the SNP or Tories out here!

Lottapianos · 05/05/2021 12:16

Planning to spoil my vote. I do not feel good about it, but honestly don't feel I have a choice, apart from staying home which is tempting I have to be honest

you might as well save yourself the time and energy and stay at home if you're going to do that!
CagneyNYPD · 05/05/2021 12:22

I live in a historical Tory stronghold area in the SE. But that stronghold has been slipping in recent years due to some terrible decisions made by the council. The Lib Dems have been chipping away at at the Tory vote across major parts of the council and there is a small chance that the Tories might lose overall control of the council tomorrow. I will therefore be voting LD. Hell would have to freeze over before I give my vote to a Tory.

OldEvilOwl · 05/05/2021 12:29

I would like to give my vote to plaid Cymru, but voting for Labour may keep the Tories out, so I will probably vote for them. Have voted one or the other in the past - tactically if needed

Mydogisagentleman · 05/05/2021 14:22

It’s a futile gesture, but Labour.
Absolutely no chance that anyone apart from the Tory will be elected, but I still do it

midsomermurderess · 05/05/2021 14:26

SNP.

Thereoncewasababy · 05/05/2021 14:28

Lib dem as stuck in a flat we can't sell due to the cladding crisis and contemplating bankruptcy due to the Tories

SinisterBumFacedCat · 05/05/2021 14:30

In a boring safe Tory seat, Labour. Is futile but I think they should know I am here.

olderthanyouthink · 05/05/2021 14:32

I'm confused OP said the london election

olderthanyouthink · 05/05/2021 14:32

Oh wait I googled, lots of elections on the same day!

DisgruntledPelican · 05/05/2021 14:38

Labour for me (Scotland)

TheCrowFromBelow · 05/05/2021 14:40

10:27EachandEveryone: The London election. Ive voted Labour all my life. Now I dont know.

Count Binface has the best London manifesto, IMVHO. But if i were still there I'd vote for Khan.

I am going to vote LIbDem as we are in a similar position to CagneyNYPD

Woodpecker22 · 05/05/2021 14:41

Lib dem. It is a close run between lib dems and tories here.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 05/05/2021 14:43

Rural Cambs here. Tories lost control of the council last time to the LibDems. I'm a Labour Party member but am prepared to vote tactically if necessary. I want to vote Labour but they really don't stand a chance. We've had multiple flyers through from the Conservatives and LibDems but nothing from Labour so I think they've given up here.

EdwinPootsLovesArchaeology · 05/05/2021 14:44

I'm in a ward where it's between Labour and the Lib Dems. Neither of them have responded to my polite emails so fuck them.

I shall be spoiling my ballot, creatively.

yupyupyup · 05/05/2021 14:44

Labour for me. Also Scotland. Voting tactically to keep out the SNP

QwertyGirly · 05/05/2021 14:45

Green first vote, Labour second vote. But I would vote for anyone who would guarantee that Conservative candidate doesn't win. Even Lord Buckethead.

Devlesko · 05/05/2021 14:46

Not bothering.
Not keen on any of our candidates tbh.
Lisa Nandy probably has it in the bag, I'd imagine.

whatswithtodaytoday · 05/05/2021 14:48

Tory stronghold here but Lib Dems tend to do well locally, so Lib Dem in the best hope of a Tory defeat.

I basically vote for whoever I think stands the best chance of beating the Tories.

safariboot · 05/05/2021 14:48

Birmingham. Probably Labour but it's just the tactical kick-the-Tory-out vote.

GintyMcGinty · 05/05/2021 14:50

Labour on constituency and Tory on list.

2 best tactical unionist options where I live to stop the SNP.

feelingdizzy · 05/05/2021 14:51

I think labour in Scotland I am pro independence but SNP have destroyed education and I don't think I can vote for them anymore !
