What would it be?

I think I would choose Spanish. It sounds so musical to me

I am fluent in 3 languages and conversational in maybe 2 more, and I’d really like to learn more. Perhaps Welsh? Or Arabic?

A school friend’s father used to speak 12 languages, most of them fluently. Completely amazing - I’d love to be like that!

On a practical level I would love to speak fluent German again (was fluent about 30 years ago but can only struggle through the basics now) the language I would really like to learn properly is Finnish. Such a very difficult language but so lovely to listen to, very lilting. I can speak a few simple words and short phrases but would love to be able to follow a conversation in Finnish

Gujarati and hindi. I can speak gujarati at a conversational level as its my mother tongue but I want to sound like a native speaker and blend in. I can understand hindi from watching bollywood movies but not speak it. The key to learning language properly is to be around a very good conversationalist

Welsh. I'm the only monoglot in my home, I understand a smattering but not enough to hold a conversation.
