@Chocolatetrifle the first part of preschool was rough here too, though just like @Motherofmonsters DD, my DS will also sometimes cry on pick up. He's also guaranteed to cry if drop off is handled by this one woman who works there and we have no idea why. Very random. He likes her otherwise, so that makes it even more confusing.
@theprisonerofazkabitch that sounds amazing! The boat I mean, not your DD screaming at you. That sounds tough. I have almost the opposite problem, I am the only one DS wants to play with and as a tired and irritable pregnant lady, sometimes I just want a rest!
@Motherofmonsters so glad to hear you had a productive day, and congrats on reducing your pile of doom! We have several boxes of doom I keep looking at but can't bring myself to open.
DS is fortunately too young to have reached the stage where he can sing, nursery said he was so tired all day today (no surprise after the intense weekend) and fell asleep with food in his mouth
he actually led me to the bathroom to indicate he was ready for sleep before we'd even eaten and was conked out at 6.30pm, bless him.
DH and I have finally talked everything out and now gradually thawing relations, which is also nice. And I took a 3 hour nap in the middle of the day and none of my colleagues noticed, gotta love home office!
Hoping all DC and parents get a restful sleep, I'm off to bed again
