Inspired by another thread by HensTeeth44, here is a thread for lovers of fan fiction either writer or just an avid reader.

I do have some unfinished Harry Potter fan fic to share but I'm at working at the moment.

I'm busy writing code, not words

I've tried writing code and I cant do it.

I'm getting close to the end of my story. Assuming the boys don't suddenly needlessly pad out the word count by going into wistful daydreams of the time they wanked each other (they do do that quite a lot tbf) then it should be about 4 chapters to the end.

I'm planning a new story in my head - this one should be less angsty, but will hopefully still include them wanking each other.

I'm getting ever closer to Lucius sexy times.

I know what starts it (Percy).

I am so close to the end of my QG fic that I can taste it. But my course really really needs attention, or I'll have an absolutely miserable July and August.

Oh well. Monday is still my sacred writing night.

I'm itching to get to the good stuff in my Lucius fic.

One chapter of pure sexy times.

Instead of spending the past couple of hours writing my current fic and edging closer to the end, I have spent it outlining the new one... and now I want to jump right in and start writing that one.

I'm so ill disciplined!

But - no - I will be strong. I shouldn't have any interruptions this weekend so - if I can get myself to actually do something - I could well get it finished off.

I haven't actually outlined any wolfstar into the new story - but I'm sure they'll find a moment for a quickie, somewhere. I'll just have to follow their lead and see how it all develops.

Noooo @Icantreachthepretzels! Must finish. Or else the Great Gods of Fiction or the readers will punish you mightily. Writers who write enormous epics and then leave them unfinished two chapters before the end Must Be Spanked.

Anyone got any recs in the Mandalorian fandom? I don't much feel like getting into the whole Star Wars madness, but I want more of my baby Din Djarin.

It's terrible the way you just lose interest in a fic once a new idea hits you isn't it?

I keep telling myself that as the new idea is not angsty it will be much less popular than the current one (which gets at least one comment most chapters and is racking up the kudos) and so posting it will be much more disappointing.

Sorry @BuffySummersReportingforSanity - I've never watched the mandalorian let alone read any fics.

I've still got 3 fics to finish and I've got ideas for atleast 2 new fics.

Need to stop myself.

I got loads of writing done yesterday - over ten thousand words. Sirius has exposed Peter as the real spy, and that chapter got a few all capital comments.

If I can do as much today then I should finish it off. It's looking like it will be 37 chapters, which is an irritating number of chapters but it is what it is.
It's well past the length of Prisoner of Azkaban now, but won't make it to the lengths of Goblet of Fire. But I wrote it in a month and a half - so I'll let myself off on that account.

My hands are aching after all that typing yesterday, they feel like they're on fire.

I've been a bit lazy, but I'm trying.

10k is amazing. I'd consider 2k a really good day, although with work, DC and study the most time I get to give to it is an evening, and if I write too late into the evening I don't sleep!

When my youngest is in school full time I expect to have more time to give to it. I occasionally get jealous of the people on here who start threads about having nothing to do at work...

I write about 1K an hour - so usually I'm pretty happy at 3k per day and smug if I manage more.
I guess I just sat and wrote for 10 hours yesterday. It was a Saturday and I don't have children, so I could. The amount of typos 9 hours in and when your hands are seizing up is unreal though.

@BuffySummersReportingforSanity - between your work, study and children I'm impressed you have any time to write at all! I couldn't manage it, I can be hopeless on an evening after work, and I've only got me to sort out.
I got in from work on Friday and went straight to bed!

I manage about 2 evenings a week, usually, since I also need to exercise and spend time with DH and just flop and watch TV sometimes. I didn't write at all between giving birth to my first and him turning 6. I've got it back in a big way now we're out of the baby years. I've acquired some real self discipline and I get a lot of pleasure and fulfilment from it.

I think I'm going to let DH read my novella length QG fic when it's done. This is a big step...

I'm in a bind here.

Cassie and Lucius have barely seen each since they shared a bed and I'm stuck on how to bring them closer again.

Any ideas?

Why have their barely seen each other? Have they been avoiding each other or has it just been circumstance?

It's probably easiest if some external reason suddenly forces them to spend time together - like a snooty, Death Eater dinner party they can't get out of, in which Cassie is very uncomfortable and Lucius does his best to protect her from the likes of Bellatrix.

They've been avoiding each other. Cassie more than Lucius.

Definitely gonna need an external reason then.

They need to go to see Umbridge together but that's for the next chapter.

They have to get their stories straight for Umbridge, presumably, though? Maybe Cassie has a bad dream about it, loud enough to wake Lucius up, and he comforts her?
