Inspired by another thread by HensTeeth44, here is a thread for lovers of fan fiction either writer or just an avid reader.

I do have some unfinished Harry Potter fan fic to share but I'm at working at the moment.

I think the hamster inside my head that powers my ideas has gone on strike.

I'm not feeling writing at the minute. I know what I need to write -it's not exactly writers block but I'm procrastinating big time.

I'm happy to poke you all, if that would be any good. I can't really write this week until I get my portfolio cracked, I just can't afford the time, but it would be good to at least help other people along.

Anyway. It's the morning after Lucius and Cassie first shared a bed for the first time and I just coming up blank on it.

I've got the immediate wake up written but no further forward.

How did it go? I take it the beast with two backs was not yet made? What was the spur for them to share?

He had the shit kicked out of him as punishment and Cassie took care of him. He asked her stay so she did.

Hmmm. So Cassie's in a "well that wasn't as awful as I thought" headspace and Lucius is all hurty? Does he have any awareness of what it might cost her to stay there if the trust isn't yet there?

I'm presuming they'd retreat to their corners but they'd have to come back together to talk about "what next", ostensibly the Ministry but subtexty them?

Lucius is vulnerable emotionally and Cassie is feeling confused by what she feels.

I cant imagine them sharing a bed the next night as Cassie was reluctant to actually do it. Especially since they woke up entangled together.

They have a brief moment of awkward feeliness after the wake up together and that's where I've hit the wall.

I think retreat and a bit of introspection. Cassie will probably go and bake her feelings away. Lucius will take himself somewhere quiet and try to rebuild his pride. I think he'll be colder with her after she's seen him so vulnerable - once he's got his defences back up. And the fact that she's upset he;s being standoffish will only make her more confused.

I've got tomorrows chapter written now. I think Sirius breaks out of Azkaban in the next one. Word count permitting.

I'll continue writing it later. Although I'll probably be too tired after work.

Well he does! I like my chapters to all be of a similar length. If he can't get out in under 4000 words then he'll just have to wait for the chapter break and try again.

Now I imagine an impatient Sirius drumming his fingers impatiently as he wants for a more convenient moment to escape.

Now I'm half-writing another fic mentally of the characters sitting around moaning about how writers can't get their shit together to make things happen on time

Poor Beth and Townes of the Queen's Gambit are currently stuck on Beth's sofa while I sort the rest of my life out. They must be getting bored (and hungry).

Look - if Sirius is going to get so bogged down in introspection and angsting over Remus that he can't manage his stealthy escape plan within a decent word count that is not my fault It's entirely up to him how quickly he does it - I'm all for a quick action scene...but if he wants to spend time reminiscing about all the hand shandies before he gets his ass out of the door then that is entirely on him.

Hmmm - looking at where the word count is now, I don't think he's going to make it. Not because he's too busy reliving his finest erotic moments (he isn't actually on page at the moment) I just think there's too many pieces to move.

I think I'm looking at two shortish chapters - this one where he realises he needs to escape, and then the next one will be entirely his daring prison break.

Are the Dementors keen on those thoughts? Or is a lesser-known method of fending them off to keep a porn track playing in your mind at all times?

Oh God- the dementors love the sex thoughts, of course they do. Remus had a dream a couple of chapters back about him and Sirius and that brought so many dementors to his door that he spent the rest of the chapter screaming in pain.

Anything that's happy gets the dementors going - part of the tragedy of their separation is that they can't even think about each other. But they can't control their thoughts when they go to sleep.
