Inspired by another thread by HensTeeth44, here is a thread for lovers of fan fiction either writer or just an avid reader.

I do have some unfinished Harry Potter fan fic to share but I'm at working at the moment.

@BuffySummersReportingforSanity - oh gosh, mine is at over 50 000 words and climbing at the moment so catching up could take a while Smile

I don't know if you'll feel sorry for them or not ... I mean I'm writing it and even I kind of think 'boys, you know that bit at the beginning where Remus said "let's tell Dumbledore"? pretty much that - why didn't you do that? none of this would be happening'.

Mine wasn't an account it was a guest - yours has a fetching picture of Snape by their name so I assume they're signed up. Of course it could be the same person outside of their account for some reason but a brief investigation would suggest separate readers.

hi! i hope this is OK to ask, but i was wondering whether anyone would be able to offer some constructive criticism on a new fic i've written on AO3 - it's quite a niche fandom and not very populated, so reviews are very sparse! it's on FF.net too but am trying not to post more smutty stuff there. my AO3 username is missl0af91

@hulahoopqueen - left a comment. I'm not usually a fan of the present tense in stories but I really enjoyed this. It took me an embarrassingly long time to work out that Scara was just a shortening of Scaramouche ... but I did enjoy the squirming embarrassment for poor Kashoggi.

And it was nice to see him happy (and Meat after Brit) I always worry what becomes of him once his mind is blown.

I love fanfic.. I’m on Wattpad.. not read any for a long time.
Love reading the walking dead fanfics.. sons of anarchy fanfics.
Read a few involving just the celebrity’s like Andrew Lincoln ect... there pretty good.
There’s one person I found on there who’s extremely good at writing. Though she’s not updated in a while:(

That is the downside to fanfiction. I've seen some epic fics and they just stop.

That's why I'm always determined to finished the fics I write. I dont want to let the readers down.

The downside to writing fanfiction is that my Remus crush is so massively out of control at the moment that I'm actually developing a bit of a David Thewlis crush. I watched 'An Inspector Calls' last night on iplayer and spent the whole time thinking 'he is nice, isn't he?' Not as in 'nice' attractive but just nice nice ... which is what Remus is ... which is why I have such a massive crush on him. (although just because he plays 'nice' very well doesn't preclude him from being a cunt in real life I suppose ... he is acting after all. But I have no reason to assume he isn't actually perfectly nice too.)

Although to be clear - my version of Remus and Sirius are very much not David Thewlis and Gary Oldman, because I wouldn't have written in all the hand shandies if they were. Book characters are fair game - film characters played by actors get to keep their clothes on.

I feel the same about Jason Isaacs. Been about 20 years I've had a huge crush on him and it wont ever change.

I saw Gary Oldman in something on next and he's quite the handsome man.

I warn you though @Icantreachthepretzels, you might want to read chapter 8 through your fingers. That said, I'm sure shit champagne wont make an appearance.

Jason Isaacs is beautiful though - have you seen him as captain hook in the 2003 Peter Pan, or as the head of the red army in The Death of Stalin - just ... wow😍

David Thewlis on the other hand is ... a 'distinctive' looking man is maybe the kindest way of putting it. He always looks a bit like he's going to sneeze. And he talks like he has a bit of a speech impediment that he's overcome so you can't tell what the impediment was but he still doesn't talk right (though I actually love a man with a stammer as a general rule so that one maybe isn't a negative). He certainly isn't what sexy looks like (though he did used to go out with Anna Friel, who is very beautiful, so he must have some game)

I've never found Gary Oldman to be handsome - but I do love him in The Fifth Element. He's always Zorg to me.

Imagine Lucius Malfoy with his natural accent.

I think Jason Isaacs is actually a scouser . I'm not sure his natural accent would really add to the allure (with respect to all people from Liverpool - you have beautiful voices ... just maybe not sexy ones) Grin

I know, he just sounds lovely when its not really forcing an accent. Or maybe he just sounds lovely with a Yorkshire accent.

I've seen things when he's using his natural accent. He doesnt sound like a scouser.

And yeah, I havent watched that series. Even Jason couldnt make me watch it.
