Truthfully what do you think the age limit is on dungarees

I really want some I’m 45! Too old? I’m also ‘curvy’. But damn they look comfy.

Under about 2.5 years (nightmare after potty training)
Then again if you're pregnant and it's the 80s / 90s
Or an artist / tradesperson

@MrsJBaptiste

Based on the OP and no other comments, I'd say age 2-3. After potty training, dungarees were a definite NO.
This - I'm surprised to see people saying they're good for 4 year olds, you're asking for them to wet themselves! Was devastated when I realised that DS1 couldn't wear them once potty trained, so DS2 is currently wearing them essentially daily. Love a toddler in dungarees with a big mop of hair.

Anyway, for adults... They're one of the things that I think look great on many other people (of any age) but crap on me. But both dungaree dresses and jumpsuits are a lot more forgiving, I think, and let you rock a similar vibe (I love a jumpsuit in a big pattern) in a way that's less easy to tip over into ridiculous.

I’m late 40’s and am obsessed with them at the moment. I have the boohoo ones and I think if they’re slim fit and you wear a blouse under them, slightly rolled up with nice trainers they look brilliant.

Absolutely hate the Lucy & Yak style ones though. Need to be slim fitting

@Shehasadiamondinthesky

The age limit is 4. I hope never to see an adult in them.
Out of interest, where do you live?
Givemecoffeeplease · 18/04/2021 16:04

I’m curvy and look fabulous in my Fatface dungarees. So comfy. Go for it! I’m also in my 40s so you are in great company.

ChubbyLittleManInACampervan · 18/04/2021 16:05

How do the fat face ones look on you? Can you share a pic?

Thatisnotwhatisaid · 18/04/2021 16:55

I love my Lucy and Yak dungarees. I don’t think an age limit exists on fashion, just wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

LudoBear · 18/04/2021 16:58

Around 3 years or when child is out of nappies.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 18/04/2021 17:02

I wear them - nice and comfy. Baggy ones not denim ones.

Shorthairlady · 18/04/2021 17:05

Never over the age of 3.

BrownEyedGirl80 · 18/04/2021 17:06

10

toffeebutterpopcorn · 18/04/2021 17:06

Oh you stick in the mud!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 18/04/2021 17:09

I’m 57.

I’ve got 5 pairs. Don’t care in the least

Oneeyeopen · 18/04/2021 17:12

Unless you're a plumber.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 18/04/2021 17:14

I went to art school (my excuse for a lot of things)...

Eyevorbig0ne · 18/04/2021 17:15

Child or adult trades person for work wear. Or cbeebies entertainer.

carolinesbaby · 18/04/2021 17:15

There isn't one. I'm pushing 40 and I wear them, despite not being as slim as I used to be and my husband's comments about maternity wear. They're so comfy. I like how I look in them, and If someone else doesnt like what I look like in them, they can look the other way.

Candycane57 · 18/04/2021 17:38

Last time I checked, clothes don't come with an expiry date, or even a sell by date. I've worn them through all body sizes, when I was plump, now that I'm toned, when I was pregnant, wobbly, trim. They were always comfy, always warm enough and always served well as an item of clothing.

noodlezoodle · 18/04/2021 17:54

@Queenofbeebers

Well the order arrived impressively quickly as I ordered last night.

Two words. Fat Ghostbuster.

Grin Grin Grin I think I love you OP.

That comment really reminded me of this thread:

Blueeyedgirl21 · 18/04/2021 17:58

I’m nearly 30 and I wear a black distressed denim pair with a slim fit white tee or slight white shirt and Birkenstock’s or ‘sport sandals’, ray bans and a messy half bun , great spring/summer weekend outfit for going for a coffee and a wander round a market

Blueeyedgirl21 · 18/04/2021 17:58

Slight white - slouchy

LongIslandIcedT · 18/04/2021 17:59
  1. My teens have shorts dungarees that look great on them.
Dressinggownchic · 18/04/2021 18:06

Fat ghostbuster Grin
I am late 30’s, size 16 apple and would love a pair but fear I would look the same!

TheChosenTwo · 18/04/2021 18:53

Well I’m 36 and wouldn’t wear them myself but my god life is too short to give a shit about anyone else’s opinions on your clothes so if you want to wear them, get yourself a pair!!
