My mum reckons most people will be watching BBC. What are you watching? BBC for me and my mum (separate homes)

BBC

It's all so beautifully done. Prince Charles looks devastated.

Eggsley · 17/04/2021 15:07

Well done to the soldiers carrying the coffin. What a huge responsibility. I have read that the royal family's coffins are always lead lined too, so extremely heavy.

Ponks · 17/04/2021 15:07

And of course BBC.

Hotelhelp · 17/04/2021 15:08

Charles Sad

I was so nervous for them! They did an outstanding job - PP would be proud.

Broke my heart seeing the queen stood all one.

PC is visibly devastated Sad

Watched a bit on the BBC.
Thought it was nicely done. Windsor looked beautiful in the sunshine.
We are good at this kind of thing, Olympic Opening ceremonies and the like.

CNN 😁 Love to see how the Americans (mis)interpret it all (am American so I can say that)

yourhairiswinterfire · 17/04/2021 15:09

Doesn't she look frail and a little unsteady

She did look a little wobbly to me as she got out of the car. Maybe wobbly is the wrong word, just the way she was looking around and the way she moved. She looked so lost :(

I can't even begin to imagine how it feels having to go through this whilst the world is watching.

Balloondog · 17/04/2021 15:09

BBC

@MrsMariaReynolds ohh bet that's interesting Grin

itsgettingwierd · 17/04/2021 15:09

Awww god bless Camilla. She just took PC hand.

LudoBear · 17/04/2021 15:09

Absolutely beautiful. The flag is Philips personal standard I think.

The social distancing actually creates a poignant aesthetic
Looks like the lawns have been cut in 2 mtr squares to facilitate the social distancing.
korawick12345 · 17/04/2021 15:09

I think it's inhumane the way the Queen is having to sit by herself

SirSamuelVimes · 17/04/2021 15:10

BBC here too.

PineappleCakes · 17/04/2021 15:10

BBC.

I'm not much of a royalist, but it's desperately sad for the Queen to be losing her husband of so many years, and his family of course.

HouseofWindsor · 17/04/2021 15:10

Omg Queens head truly bowed. The grief is still feeling is unimaginable

Nanny0gg · 17/04/2021 15:10

BBC

ilovesooty · 17/04/2021 15:10

At least she's got a large brimmed hat on. That helps her to hide herself a bit.

PussyCatEatingEasterEggs · 17/04/2021 15:10

@atracurious

What's the flag on the coffin?

The bit where Louise, Sophie and James bowed to his coffin has nearly broken me. So dignified

The flag is Philips own Royal Standard.

Don't get it. Someone could have bubbled with her. Harry's been in quarantine since he got back. Could have been him
MrsMariaReynolds · 17/04/2021 15:11

Fwiw, the sound seems richer on CNN vs the BBC coverage. I think BBC has gone for muted reverence.

KikoMiko · 17/04/2021 15:12

BBC

Maggiesfarm · 17/04/2021 15:12

I have ITV on now, had BBC earlier. It must be the same on both.
I'vecome on here for a bit of diversion (was logged out only just managed to get back in with the help of MNHQ).

Singing now in the chapel (For those in peril on the sea). I'm finding it more moving than I thought I would. Also thought we weren't going to see in the chapel during the funeral.
